A good read for anyone interested in Xanders

It reads like he's a great pickup, but i'm already concerned that this dude may be gone in the blink of an eye. Why? Because; why do we have more than one guy doing the same job as one guy? Not to mention that "shack" doesn't have the best record of drafting success.

Come to think of it, why are we filling staff positions with Jags guys anyway? The organization has been pretty shit for awhile.

Maybe it's just me, but i can't see a good dude coming in to work alongside a shit dude (that's been here for years) and the shit dude turning over the tough decisions. And if shack is indeed that type of person then he should be fired........ Why don't they just fire shack?

apparently were going with the 3 idiots should be able to join forces and make a semi intelligent personnel decision format.

I don't get it. It's the same approach they have taken with Jim Washburn. Apparently they have never heard of the 'too many cooks' axiom.

he had some decent drafts....but Elway saved his ass with the Manning signing. Moving from cutler and marshall to tebow and Lloyd?...Denver was lucky to be in such a weak ass division.

Tebow was not his guy.

Everything I've read has great praise for this guy. He helped rebuild Denver in the few years he was there.

so youre the GM and you let the coach make your 1st round selections? awesome.....get Schwartz back on youtube!

Oh look...more complaining. What a fn shocker!!

Unfnreal...lol. My 12 year old stepdaughter doesn't complain as much as you guys.

Jesus Christ!

you act like you know the exact situation he was in, how do you know it wasn't the owner that told him to go get him, and it was out of his hands? Since 2010, Xanders helped evalute draft classes that have produced NINE starters, and not just from the first and second rounds. His rookies over that period rank first or second in percentage of playing time, number of starts, and snaps when compared to the entire NFL. I think we can pardon him for Tebow but also keep in mind that that pick brought in Brinks trucks full of cash. Tebow was a cash cow for the Broncos since being drafted, then they ship him off and get two picks. Those two (late round) picks end up contributing to the team that had a #1 seed in the playoffs.

Seems like an extremely calculated move. Seems to me that Mayhew's seat might be warming up, while his successor is already in house.

Doesn't matter who gets brought into the Lions organization. They could do some fucked up whacky experiment and reincarnate Vince Lombardi and they'd still bitch. It's fn endless.

Lions make a good move and people complain. It's the way of the world i guess..lol. I know i couldn't do it. Complain about EVERY.....SINGLE.....FN move?? No thanks, that would drive me to swan dive off the fn Ambassador Bridge. I get SOME of the complaining, but to complain just for the sake of complaining is fn retarded. Sorry, but it is....

a good move would have been to never hire shack in the first place. Then when he sucks at his job and we replace him we STILL let him stay with the organization lmao. Its decisions like this that are the source of our problems....just take way to long as an organization to make the correct moves. Its always...."well maybe he'll be good in a couple years" when it comes to the lions.

if the owner told him to go get him do you think him and mcdaniels would be out of a job? I already gave him credit for his drafts...he takes a lot of the guys most mockers like. People that are projected to go where he picks.....the franklins and rahim moores of the world. Not the broyles' that could have been had later comming off an injury or the trading up for guys no one heard of like Whitehead. But....Without elway saving his ass that franchise would be on the decline with Tebow starting still.

You mean Demarius Thomas not Lloyd. Thomas had 1400 yards this year.
