Looking forward to JVs next starts, KalineCountry let me know if these are right.

Tues, Sept 13 @ CWS
Sun, Sept 18 @ OAK
Sat, Sept 24 vs. Balt

Then after that his next day in the rotation would be the 163rd game, so falls right in line for the Playoffs. Was hoping he could nab another start in there but its not like those are hard teams to go against. If he reaches 25 wins, the MVP debate could thicken especially if at least one of those games he throws a CG shutout.

Looks good zoombaby, at least the 9/13 and 9/18 starts, with the last off day on the 19th, it remains to be seen if JV pitches on 5 days 9/23 or gets an extra days rest for 9/24. The 23rd start would set him up for the last game of the season 9/28. I don't remember if anything has been said by Leyland regarding it.

Tigers schedule through end of regular season.
edit. The ALDS starts Sept. 30

I'm looking at the 18th at Oakland. Perfect game opportunity. Those boys have a real tough time scoring...and there's practically another whole ballpark in foul territory...

He throws a Perfect or No-No in one of these last few starts that would go a long way for his MVP candidacy

Good shot at 25 wins. But, that last game might be an abbreviated start, so that could lessen his chances at a decision.

I believe he goes on Sept. 23rd, not the 24th.

The offday on the 19th will be counted as a pitched day, and he will go on his regular 4 days rest, setting him up to pitch the final day of the regular season if needed.

If (when) we have the division locked up by then, expect him and maybe Scherzer to get their final days off to rest for the playoffs.

At least this is how it was Leyland mapped him out, I'm sure it could change.

If the Tigers are in a good position at that time I don't think they'd skip someone in the rotation so he can pitch earlier. Unless it was tight and we need him on the 28th. And it don't expect it to be tight.

I'm just going by what Leyland said on his radio show several weeks ago, they Verlander was mapped out going from the final day...backwards, and If he pitches the dates I mentioned someone probably get a start skipped so Verlander can go on his normal rest.

Right. But I don't think they expected a 9 game lead at this point. Things change.

And 9 games is freakin' huge. With only 19 games left. Easy.

9/09 vs MIN Penny
9/10 vs MIN Scherzer
9/11 vs MIN Fister
9/12 at CHW Porcello
9/13 at CHW Verlander
9/14 at CHW Penny
9/15 at OAK Scherzer
9/16 at OAK Fister
9/17 at OAK Porcello
9/18 at OAK Verlander
9/19
9/20 at KCR Scherzer
9/21 at KCR Fister
9/22 vs BAL Porcello
9/23 vs BAL Verlander
9/24 vs BAL Penny
9/25 vs BAL Scherzer
9/26 vs CLE Fister
9/27 vs CLE Porcello
9/28 vs CLE Verlander

The last series can be modified if they have it wrapped up to line up the playoff rotation
