A reminder that this was a block

We all know it was a block. Doesn't mean we would have won that game, or that Louisville didn't break rules to assemble that team.

We may as well bring up the 1990 "that was pass interference on desmond" play while we're at it.

I’m still pissed off that the Angels sat both Bobby Abreu and Torii Hunter in game 162 in 2012 or thenabouts against AL west champs Texas Rangers to have a look at a couple prospects.

The Rangers won that game and thus clinched home field advantage against the Detroit Tigers throughout the AL playoffs and went on to beat the Tigers in the ALCS.

Still chaps my ass to this day.

EDIT: It was 2011.

Or that JT was stopped short. Of all the plays that one has had a direct impact on the future of Michigan football.

A bad call is a bad call. Reminding Refs to try and be better on a bigger stage is never a bad idea. I just came across the article while looking up 2020 recruit Zeb Jackson. Thought it was something worth posting.

That bad call was nothing compared to the phantom touchdown in the 1979 Rose Bowl. The Detroit News or Free Press printed a picture of the fumble that I carried in my wallet for years. Michigan lost 17-10.

Nope you are right darn it all. He was at least a yard in a half from the end zone..Or. the the holding call in the 1989 Rose Bowl on the fake punt . Also a 17-10 score. Frustrating.

1989 Rose Bowl Bo?s last game.

There was some conjecture at the time that had Michigan won the coaches might have given Bo their half of the NC.

Who knows?

That was the first Rose Bowl I attended.

I also believe that Burke's block was clean, but apologists claim that he body checked the Louisville player, therefore the foul was legit.

I think we did have a timeout left in '93 Championship game vs NC.

Desmond was OB on a TD catch in that game and the refs gave it to him so you still would have lost by 4.

It was odd, because there was a guy on the bench yelling at and signalling for C Webb to call time-out

I was at the 1988 Michigan win and 1987 MSU win.
