Alex Carter returned to practice today

Man he is still undersized for an LB. aren't most LBs at least 210??? Was hoping he was hitting the weights and put on muscle to get over 200lbs. Maybe they can convert him into a strong safety???

U got jokes, lol. Needed this guy ready to take Mathis' spot week 2. Good job Mayhew.

LOL, as swiss cheese as the D has been, he might be a DT soon. ;P

"His ankle has been 100 percent "for weeks" now and he's been biding his time to return to on-field activities at practice."

Seems a bit overly cautious, given the state of our secondary. But then again, the season was probably over by the time he got healthy, so no need to push him too early. But it still reads kind of funny to me.

I could be wrong on this, but they might have had him on a type of IR that restricts him from practice? I don't know if that exists, but I thought the same as you and figured there had to be a restriction in place and that was the only thing that came to mind.

If there was any doubt we would win the rest of our games to finish 9-7 and make the playoffs on the way to winning the Super Bowl, this removed it. The only question is will Alex Carter intercept over 20 passes or over 30 passes?

U seen him play? Guy can't catch...at all

Injured and can't catch anything but STDs....only remaining question is are you willing to sign a contract that says the Lions will pay you even if you do dumb shit like walk on wings of airplanes during the off season? You will! Great! You know what, you are so perfect for us, how about we offer you an extension! Done deal...soooooo easy.

Just too many young guys who aren't playing. On many factors but it kind of stinks.

Pretty pathetic considering how dinged up we are at corner. Crezdon Butler( a mid season FA addition) is more valuable to this team than our 3rd round selection.

Sometimes those midseason pickups play extremely well because they have been at home instead of playing and their passion ignites a high level of focus, not to mention their bodies have not been getting jacked up every week.
