Anyone Watching The XFL?

I watched yesterday and there's another game on right now. Yesterdays games were pretty good, especially LA at Houston. Night and day difference than that AAF league last year. You see the quickness and hitting. A lot of guys are guys that got hurt and just couldn't be kept on NFL rosters or were practice squad guys. The announcers are a lot of regulars from ESPN and Fox like Klatt, Huard, McElroy, Steve Levy, and Tom Luginbill. The announcers just make it seem more official. Disney and Fox have deals to show every game. Lots of great catches and plays made in yesterday's games.

This Tampa Bay Vipers team is the worst so far. Their QB Aaron Murray blows.

I have some on dvr. Not sure when I can watch.

I posted the rules and scores in the Miscellaneous thread.

Its pretty cool when someone is down by 9 because you can kick a, I think, 3pt 45yd fg after a TD.
Yesterday Houston had just went up by 2 with 1 min left in the half and the kicker kicked it out of bounds. The penalty spotted it all the way to Houston's 45. I was like, holy shit, this kicker is going to get canned after week one because he had already missed a 40yd fg.

Another game starting right now on ESPN

The Dallas Renegades logo is friggin sweet.

St Louis Battlehawks uni's are the worst so far. WTF is a Battlehawk? Some sort of Native American animal?

Wow, the communication between the replay booth and field refs is pretty darn good.

I watched the Seattle Dragons loss on Saturday. I am rooting for the Seattle Dragons. They have 4 former Michigan Wolverines.

I do like their logo, as well.

Jim Zorn is their coach and he is an old favorite of mine from my childhood.

I, too, liked the one replay and how it was quick and had good communication.

Seattle gave the game away with self-induced errors. Was especially irritating considering DC had Cardale Jones on their team.

I recorded the 2nd game yesterday, but didn't set up any of the games today.

To answer the original question: NO.

I would rather watch a special on Prince Harry and Princess Meghan's wedding... hosted by Oprah... featuring interviews with Michelle Obama, Rush Limbaugh, Pete Buttigieg, Donald Trump, Ellen Degeneres, Gilbert Gottfried, Kanye & Kim West, Tina Fey, Nancy Pelosi, Roseanne, and Carrot Top, and a special historical rap about the Monarchy performed by Lin-Manuel Miranda than watch the XFL.

the kick-offs are very cool and I could see this method moving to the NFL. It is a lot safer.

I agree. A dude yesterday fumbled the ball and it bounced back to him and he ran right by everyone. Only got to other teams 40 but it was pretty cool. Once a runner gets by that line of scrumming players, it's a foot race to the end zone.

Game on right now has sucked so far, hopefully it picks up second half.

Ok, a 3 point PAT is only a 27 yd fg. Jesus I'd be doing this after every TD. These idiots keep going for 2 which is only 5yds closer.

Ouch, a player not even in the game got ran over and now the air cast is out. No one knew what was going on until the EMTs started to head out to the other sideline.

Woops, he was in the game and got a penalty for riding the guy out of bounds and then his leg bent back near the bench.

No, you have to run a play from scrimmage at the 10 yard line and get it in the end-zone for the 3 point play. There are no kicks for PAT.

They did something like that - a little bit anyway - at the Academy Awards.
