Are they really paying people to go to the B1G CG?

I saw this on mgoblog and it says it is from craigslist:

Saturday night event in downtown Indianapolis needs seat-fillers. Total number of seat-fillers needed will vary based on crowd.

Must tolerate loud noise and crowds. Must have red or dark green casual clothing to wear. Event will last all evening on Saturday night. All ages, sexes, races, etc.

Please use contact e-mail. Event planner will follow-up with exact details on location for staging of seat-fillers (additional information and instruction provided there).
Location: Indianapolis / Downtown
it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
Compensation: 75 dollars, parking validation and access to event

wtf??!?! Really?

no way. fake. they wouldn't post that shit on craigslist. i've seen similar posts about jaguars games.

Well, I wish I would have known, I just chipped in to buy my dad tickets for his Birthday. 20 yard line, 3rd row from the field although he'll be sitting in the Wisconin section.

Why in the world would you put him in the Wisconsin section? I'd be pissed.

My sister got the tickets. I'm assuming that's what she could get and they're great seats. My pops is a grumpy old man, he'll have a blast with the Wisconsin fans and I'm sure he'll make friends.

I'm not surprised. The ACC title game looks like a JV HS game in terms of attendance and the B12 Title games ---when UT isn't playing a home game at Houston, San Antonio or Dallas -- have had tons of open seats.

That's the problem with these Conf Title games -- they're a byproduct of Fantasy Football and illustrate precisely why a 'playoff' system might miserably fail.

Unless you simulate the games with computers, you'd need real and actual people to travel and pay for these extra games. Frankly I don't blame Sparties or Badgers for not wanting to go to Indianapolis for a game at LucasOil Field when you can just sit at home and watch on TV ....esp if anyone is considering a Rose Bowl trip or no trip when the loser goes to the CapOne Bowl.

There are dudes standing all day in front of the Hollywood Chinese Theater, giving away free tickets to tourists to some of the most famous talk shows and game shows on television, so they can show a full audience on TV.

And if that doesn't work, there are two or three agencies that actually pay "extras" (not much) to fill the seats.

But don't come down to Hollywood Boulevard trying to score tickets for "Ellen" - "Ellen" is a tough get for guys like us.

This all said, the ad, as worded, sounds like a prank - or actually more like a way to get e-mail addies to sell to spammers.

Well, I hear you can get tickets for about $10 on stubhub

That sounds like a fair price...ha, ha...remember when M&B09 was bashing Detroit when we were all wondering why Detroit got snubbed regarding hosting the B1G title game?

I'm pretty sure tickets on stub hub would be more than ten bucks if the game were Detroit...shoot...I'll bet it's gonna cost more than ten bucks to see Ohio play Ohio...*
