Are we stuck with Chris Martin? NO, thank God!

From BTN: "Tom Hart and Derek Rackley will call the game, with Lisa Byington reporting from the sidelines."

Not familiar with either of them, but Rackley can't be as bad as Martin.

They all suck. You would think by now they would know how to call a game and hold the camera right.

.....and to be able to not get Vincent Smith confused w/ Denard, and to be able to speak correctly, and various other things. My girlfriend and I were commenting on this with frequency last Saturday. That game was easily one of the worst games by announcers that I have ever seen.

Yeah, it was poor.

Chris Martin is stuck on the phrase, "You can't teach that." They showed a replay of Smith's screen-pass TD and Martin pointed out that the receivers were down field blocking and knocking guys off their feet. "You can't teach that." WHAT??? It seems that all those practices when they ran that play the coaches weren't "teaching" them how to do it.

They showed the replay of Van Bergen hustling, running the ball carrier down from behind and knocking the ball loose. "You can't teach that." Really? I guess the coaches don't encourage the players to finish the play with 100% effort.

Another phrase that bugs me (and is used by many announcers) is: "He caught the ball at it's highest point." No he didn't, unless the QB threw a rope that stayed at 8 feet the whole time. The receiver may have caught it at HIS highest point, but not the BALL at it's highest. Man, I'd love to have receivers who could jump 25-30 feet in the air.

I think the BTN sucks balls.

The quality of the broadcast is terrible, the coverage teams are terrible, the camera work is terrible as is the directing. I hate ESPN for its programming and way in which it's now trying to make stories instead of show the games but for game telecasts, it isn't even close.

And the HD quality of the BTN blows by comparison.

Just wait till the Championship Game on FOX. Guess who will be calling? Chris Rose LOL! I'll bet on it.
