however, UNLIKE SOME SCHOOLS WE KNOW, the gymnast was 18 and it was, by all accounts consensual.

Guessing the arrest and charges stem from the fact that someone mouthed off at the cop who showed up to investigate.

I was just talking to a female colleague the other day about this topic generally, and she mentioned a guy she knows who said he won't talk to women at work anymore "because of the metoo movement."

he's basically admitting he's that much of a dick that he can't talk to women without sexually harassing them.

in this case, he's a good looking guy, and former All American college athlete... he shouldn't need to sleep with his own gymnasts.

Depending on how old the coach is, how limber and kinky the chick is, and how small the car is, it could be profoundly difficult for the guy.

I would have been worried about my ability to perform, even if I were still 35 years younger.

It?s bullshit. He was reversing her. He was trying to convince her that he is unattainable so she would come onto him.

It?s like telling a chick you?re gay.

Chicks want nothing more than what they?ve been told they can?t have.

Here is where the issue is. Depending on the laws of your state it can still be illegal to have sex with someone over 18 if you are an authority figure to them such as a coach or a teacher. So even if she consented he could still be in a deep load of trouble.

If that's what someone is worried about, then not talking to women doesn't do much to prevent that possibility. So either way, not talking to women is a stupid strategy.


I would actually be more suspicious of a person with that policy if they were accused. It's weird. Like they know they have a problem.

I never said to not talk to women. I said to not talk to women you work with about going out. You can talk to women you work with about all sorts of things, but nothing that can be construed as you hitting on them, asking them out, or definitely not anything sexual.
