I thought we had Maryland today but i see our clown show football team is just 35 minutes away in beautiful Piscataway, NJ. tickets are $6 each on stubhub - w/ parking i can take 3 kids to the game for under $50 - the silver lining to having a garbage team. and if my 5 year old cant hack 30 degrees for 4 hours, we can leave in the 3rd qtr and catch the end at home.

Go Green!

God bless you for going to this. I don’t think I’d go if I lived across the street and was given free tickets. But I also don’t have kids so I understand giving them a cool experience at a young age. I can’t stomach/don’t plan on watching this team again this season.

Josiah scott with a td saving tackle. Too bad it was his own guy he tackled on what would have been a pick 6 for Henderson

Every game is the same no matter who we play. We'll get 1 good drive and then look like shit for the next 3. Throw in some crap runs up the middle for nothing with some bad dump off passes and a few missed fgs and you have the 2019 MSU offense.

With all these young kids that we're playing, why the hell is Sowards still returning punts? Give some of the young guys a shot.

Can someone please tell me why Lewerke is still playing? Are Lombardi and Day just D3 level QBs? Are live game reps meaningless for player development?

Cody White is balling today. These wrs as a unit have made a ton of readjusted catches. Maybe that's something to build on going into next year.

Well, assuming 1 of the qbs beats out Lombardi for the job. If he wins the job I'd expect the offense to look a lot like this year. Probably even worse

I dont care how good White is playing. Never a good idea to throw into triple coverage there

worse i think. ru had 2 or 3 sacks in the first half and and a bunch of hurries including the catch that was called back. WRs may be slightly improved with Nailor back but its not like hes a world beater. this team will go nowhere without an improves line and a step back at QB.

RU anouncer just called the tackle for loss on a collins a sack. even their announcers suck.

I dont think Lombardi is much worse than Lewerke. They both arent that good though. We have a lot of freshmen on that o line now more than holding their own. I think the line will be better. I'm more worried about the d line next year.

Rutgers has their entire defense in the box right now. Just toss 1 over the top for a td

What a catch by another off target throw. White is a beast today. Replay made the catch look even better. Wow

i believe you dont but i couldnt disageee more. lewerke may not be what he was before the injury but he is easily better than Lombardi. i hope the line is better but im not expecting it to be. it would be tough for it to be worse.

at least the defense was lights out - RU actually made our secondary look ok. looking fwd to our defense built to stop the run when even the B1G has gone away from power offenses - and every team with the possible exception of rutgers can throw all over the yard against us. more moral victories! Then Dantonio can retire so Tressell can take over and keep reloading 2 and 3 star kids.

I'm starting to rationalize in my head why Luck Fickell should consider the MSU job. I can't imagine he wants to make a career out of the HC job at Cinci. He's not going to get a better B1G job - uofm is out of the question, if/when Crist starts to have really bad years, he has a few years to really suck before he has to worry about his job so that's a good 4 or 5 years minimum. Who would want the Iowa job? And Day keeps reloading top 5 recruiting classes and appears to be a pretty good coach so it doesn't look like he has much of a shot at the dream job. Does Franklin have NFL aspirations? because his job is probably safe fore the foreseeable future.

Of course, he could go to the SEC (Saban probably won't be around much longer but would he be a candidate for that spot? maybe an Ark or Mississippi type job where'd he'd have to take a redheaded stepchild program and make it elite) or the Big or PAC 12. Then he's going really far from home (albeit to better weather, more fruitful recruiting grounds, etc but the guy has had plenty of chances to leave the Midwest and hasn't).

Of course, Dantonio isn't retiring and when he does, he'll probably have significant influence on who his predecessor is, so this is all just an exercise in futility, but what else is there to talk about?
