Get StartedSomewhere, Prince Fielder is smiling.
Somewhere, Prince Fielder is smiling.
Where as we have a nice steady defensive 2b in Kinsler who is hitting AND stealing bases. Liking the first impressions of the trade, and if we can somehow make playoffs with this batting practice bull pen, Kinsler should hit way better than Prince ever did in the playoffs.
This is an opinion based on maybe 6 games?
Because the previous 486 proves otherwise.
Based on an opnion that Fielders lifetime postseason batting average in 8 series is a whopping .194 where as Kinsler on the other hand, in 7 series has hit above .300..... Fielder only hit 1 more home run and 9 less rbi and add in 6 sb for Kinsler.... More like a fact based on the 39 postseason games Fielder has played in and hit under .200...... Sure Fielder has the better "numbers" offensively in the regular, if you like a pylon and a liability on the base pass and defense, but in the postseason there isn't even a question that Kinsler has been better. But hey, I am the dummy basing my opinion on "6" games.....
so far it looks like Boston got the best of that deal. The Tigers have a broken down SS, the White Sox have a broken down OF and the Red Sox have a starting pitcher and a WS championship. One more reason to hate Boston!
First you have to get to the playoffs. 2nd, it is all about sample size. By your argument, we should have jettisoned Lout Whitaker and his lousy playoff stats.
You mention sample size, yet compare a player with 39 postseason games(which 164 PA's is a pretty big sample size) vs a guy that only played in 13?
Also, Whitaker's postseason numbers really weren't that bad if you actually look at them. OBP of .350 helped him score 13 runs in 13 games.
I could post the grass is green and you would make a retort. Got it. You dislike me and want to be disagreeable. But enough is enough.
I made my point. Judging a player on minimal sample size, whether it is Spring Training or Playoff stats is stupid. And yet, you further prove the point, yet trying to counter my argument.
