of course he took it down but it's very typical, something like

everyone has injuries at this time #blistersdontcount

which is an obvious shot at Izzo and Trice, especially with the graphic that ESPN has been running during our games.

this is par for the course

OH NO!!!

Bulletin Board Material!!!! We're in trouble now...

not even looking at it that way, it's just stupid. he has to pop off about people taking about MSU having injuries but in reality, we've lost two big ten games by a total of 7pts and we were down two starters in each game.

I'm not looking for anyone to offer condolences but he should just be happy that his tied for first in the conference instead of being down 2-3 games, taking into account the McGary injury too

Ok, but leave me alone. I have nothing to do with it. tweet that at him or something.

Sorry that I put this on the Michigan boards and mentioned you by name. I can see how you would be defensive.

I see what you did there.

Twitter has become a stream of consciousness, "thinking outloud" mechanism. And we get to scrutinize people for what they think.

Not many coaches use it that way, maybe fans but players and coaches should know better.

I agree. Absolutely. But it is what it is.

Twitter is by design, a knee-jerk stream of consciousness mechanism. Before it existed, people put more thought into what they had to say before they actually said it outloud, let alone to potentially hundreds of thousands of other people. They all still thought dumb stuff on occasion, they just didn't have the knee jerk mechanism to blast it out.

Twitter is like giving a microphone with unlimited wattage to anyone who wants one. It's dangerous. Too many people don't temper what they say and you get silly stuff like this. Then it gets (no offense intended because this is not an example) overly scrutinized when it was really just a knee-jerk stream of consciousness random thought that some breathing carbon unit with a smart phone had.

UofM Basketball Assistant Coach.

Former UofD player and assistant coach. Also spent a couple years with the Harlem Globetrotters, where fundamentals are a priority.

the Globetrotters don't emphasize fundamentals???

I think he just gets sick of the announcers saying that we might be the best team in the country if healthy. All of our broadcasts have that as overused commentary but its relevant.

Starting Line-up verses UNC in a blow out loss at home verses 16-7 team who at one point was 11-7..Good thing they have won five in a row but if I remember that game right your whole team got run out of the gym at home that night... I surely want you to have all your players come March just like all of you do...But unlike you guys I believe we are not getting Mitch Back.. Here is a hope that it will get mentioned at least half the amount announcers fixate and MSU injuries. Do you really think your the best team when healthy? Maybe one of the top ten tens but just like any team it could lose on any given night...It appears the Big Ten is a two team race for now.... What did BA say that was so bad... I missed it?

Adreian Payne.........30 minutes
Alex Gauna..............1 Minute.
Branden Dawson.....17 Minutes.
Keith Appling..........30 Minutes.
Gary Harris, G.........31 minutes.
Gavin Schilling...........9 Minutes
Kenny Kaminski........16 minutes.
Matt Costello............17 Minutes.
Travis Trice...............22 minutes.
Alvin Ellis III................1 Minute
Denzel Valentine, G....26 Minutes.

Unc outplayed us, off night for msu, they were pissed after losing tob uab. A bit of a fluke in that carolina shot 70% from the line and they shoot 62% normally on 27 ft's. Thats the game where things started, harris aggravated the ankle and missed the next 2-3, Costello missed 4 with mono, and appling had the fall which hurt his hip and wrist. He came back in the game but wasn't the same.

Alexander said "everyone has injuries and #blistersdontcount" which was a swipe at izzo and trice who missed the osu game bc of blisters. He then deleted the tweet.

I listen to every post game presser and izzo doesn't bring the injuries up but of course the reporters ask about it. He's not bill bellicheck.

Yeah, that two point swing sure was a back breaker. Good to see that izzo's culture of (dumb) excuse making has permeated into the fan base.

Good job not quoting the part where I said they outplayed us. They made a lot early and missed more when it was out of reach.

You must love bacaris tweets, the echo the typical homer fans viewpoint

So you point out the high number of free throws in one post, then imply a good portion if them are inconsequential in the very next one. Poor effort.

Also, they only made 6 free throws over the first 32 minutes. I'm sure the one or two extra that they hit made such a difference.

So yeah, they're not undefeated with a full lineup. Whatever. They still have as good a chance as anyone if they can get everyone back and have enough time to again develop chemistry.

I think the injuries are such a topic of conversation for a couple of reasons. One being that it's affected every player in their rotation at different times (14 different starting lineups?) except for Denzel, which is pretty unusual. Another is that the team is still expected to be fully healthy again (knock on wood) when it truly counts which still keeps them in the conversation when it comes to teams that are potential contenders vs say teams that lose a player or two for the season and are immediately written off. The injuries have made it difficult for people, myself included, to get an accurate read on the team. This is again pretty unusual by mid February.
