It really irks me about all of the people I see wearing Michigan apparel i.e. hats, jackets, and sweatshirts. I've tried to strike up conversations with these people and clearly have no clue about the team.

It's the same way with msu.

Eh its kinda nice. Nobody bandwagons a bad team.

I hate being called one.

Yeah, but the difference is you're not one.

I think I have seen an uptick in M gear lately but wonder if it is my being more aware of it or if it's that people are back to representing the Block M with pride. I know I have about 5 new shirts and jerseys over the course of the past football season. I've been flying in the "Strike a Pose" sometimes when I get out of the monkey suit and have gotten more than a few "Go Blue" remarks.

I understand that.

My sons will look at me and smile now because I pointed it out to them and it's become a joke between us.

The way I see it, the more fans, the better. Every team has bandwagon fans. When the Pistons start winning again, and actually resemble a franchise, the place will sell out like it used to. If the Wings become the Dead Wings again, the Joe will be half full like it used to be. It's the nature of people.

I know when a team starts to suck, my interest in the produce wanes. I'm not saying I turn redcoat and root for another team, I just don't feel the passion to watch. It's how I feel with the Pistons. I watched them religiously when they were rolling the East, now, it's very hard for me to watch a full game with the crap they present to us.

I'm going to watch the Pistons play the Mavericks on television tomorrow.

Fuck it.

If the Pistons win 15 games this year, it will be a miracle.

It's extremely annoying. I see a lot of people at school wearing Michigan apparel (especially asians n/r) and rarely do they ever even know what "Go Blue" means.

I love the people that gave me grief for wearing the Maize and Blue the past few years. Real fans stick by their team through thick and thin. I'm amazed at the looks I would get when I asked if I'm supposed to stop rooting for them because they lost a few games. The RichRod era did not go very well, but me and my boys were there every Saturday cheering our team on. Bandwagon fans are fine right up until you try to have an intelligent conversation with them.

What does n/r mean?

I'm guessing n/r means not racist? Lol.

And same here, I always kept wearing my michigan stuff. Maybe had to change shirts a few times after a bad loss though lol

We used to have the top merchandise sales after fab 5 so lots if olds wearing Michigan stuff with no real reason

We are more like 7-10 new but could come back uo

When I was Christmas shopping in Ohio (last minute) I was getting GO BLUE!!!!! While I was shopping felt good.

football revenue is 1% of the revenue, so I don't see the problem. There are plenty of reasons other than football for wearing Michigan stuff.

Yep, I hate it too...just like, a lot of the O$U clothing went back in the closet for folks around here this season. That was until the hiring of Urban, but whatever. I always have and always will represent my Wolverines, even when I die. After family and friends it is THE MOST important thing to me. May sound stupid to most, but it is the way I feel. I also understand about the waning of passion when a bad product is out there (all except for Michigan anyway). I will watch Michigan all the time, no matter what. The Pistons, until they become decent again, will only be a game here and there to check the progress of Knight and Monroe...

A mall here in Toledo was having a MAJOR sale in the sports apparel store I like to shop in down here on Jan 1 and 2, and had everything Michigan 50% off (except for the Sugar Bowl stuff)! I grabbed a ton of shit to add to what i already had. It was awesome, and at that moment I wished I would have had about another 700 bucks to spend, lol.
