I'm hearing Pep Hamilton might be gone

Also Chris Evans might be kicked off the team. Which is... wow.

sounds like 24/7 confirmed pep is gone.

ben mcdaniel replaces him

This helps push the idea that play calling really is being handed to the new OC.

"to pursue other opportunities"

That ain't good. I feel like Harbaugh tries to hold back on announcing this stuff to give coaches time to line up the next thing first.

Yep that means job not lined up

But all these coaches recycle around

Pep doesn't have a job lined up because he's going to have to take a paycut to keep coaching. No one wants to match what Michigan was paying because he's not worth it.

I couldn't believe he was making a cool million a year when they hired him.

He was way overpaid, which is concerning.

I get that you have to pay people what they're worth and all that, but after a certain point, it becomes counterproductive, and you get employees who don't care about anything other than maximizing their paychecks

I think Harbaugh thought he was better than what he truly was. They had success at Stanford together and they share the same offensive philosophy of slow-developing, downfield, multi-read passing plays. That same philosophy is what almost had Pep end Andrew Luck's career in Indy.

It's too bad that neither of them could figure out we didn't have the o-line or QB to successfully run that type of offense. I'm guessing Pep was a yes-man to Harbaugh and just continued with the same, bull-headed play-calling every week.

Here's to hoping the new hires work out much better.

Some fans think they know shit. When they really don't. They think they know how to run a major d1 program, but really just post on a message board. We all get trapped into thinking like that.

Glad Harbaugh got rid of the guy that all of the fans blamed for everything.

None of us should comment on what we see on the field then. That would make this board fun.

I don't know. There are plenty of people on this board who know how to post and talk about stuff other than saying what Beilein or Harbaugh should do differently. I see a lot of posts that aren't of the variety that think some lay person who might've played ball in high school knows more about coaching football or basketball than the coaches at Michigan.

How about being happy if a play works, mad if it doesn't work without saying how you would have done things better?

How about being happy if Michigan wins and mad or sad if they lose?

We all used to do this way back when. Now you have 2 or 3 people on every board who thinks they could do things better and they post the same comments 1,000,000 times. We get it!!
