Just like Eddie was on fire last night for Va Tech, the kid from Oklahoma is torching us. They're 9 for 10 to start the game.

Wore them down a little, getting it done on the defensive end. Dawson, Harris, and Valentine leading the way.

When the game is slowed down MSU is an average team. Speed it up and they're deserving of their ranking. Chalk up Wisc as a loss.

Dawson has been great this year, playing like a dennis rodman type

We struggle when its called tightly. They let us play a little last night. Solid win either way, they had a big run when we had appling, harris, and dawson out

I understand what you are trying to say (though I disagree), but you are also describing the basics of game theory. The fewer possessions each team has, the greater the variance in outcomes. That is, a bad team should play as slow as possible and hope the opponent hits a small cold stretch, because a small cold stretch in a slow game has a greater impact on the final score. The more possessions each team gets, the more chances a team with greater talent has to assert it's greater talent.

That's why we look so much better when the game is sped up, because we ARE better and have more chances to show it. That's also why we look more average when the game is slow, because if teams start hot against us (as a few have), suddenly things are really close for a longer period of time. Each time, once the possessions started piling up, we started pulling away.
