i just dont get how hungry thinks a player standing around is better than someone out there busting their ass that isnt as talented. all of the bench players bust their ass when they get in. yes they make mistakes but they are hustling when they do it. JB needs to show that working hard and doing what you are supposed to do is the only acceptable thing.

man what do we even have coaches for then? just let the best 5 guys stand around on the court and do whatever they want. and then hopefully they can just hit a 3 or make a big play to overshadow all their laziness. who cares that the bench players can hit shots too.

levert isnt playing because of lack of depth. JB wanted to redshirt him but he was playing too well at practice to keep him out of the games. when stauskas got hurt did levert show that he shouldnt be playing or that he should be playing? i remember alot of people saying they would rather see levert play because he plays defense. could have sworn this was just last week.

If the team was loaded with 13 scholarship players, freshman to senior, and was starting seniors and juniors, then Levert never would've played. JB decided they needed him to play, because otherwise we'd have even less depth. It's a damn good thing that he decided early to do this, so that Levert was able to improve with real game play and be able to contribute. Do you really think Levert has been better than Stauskus over the course of the entire season?

Honestly, just using GR3 as an example, if he's doing something stupid and Bartelstein will get in and box out or play a man a certain way or what have you, then yes, PUT IN BARTELSTEIN. Unless GR3 is going off at that moment why wouldn't you do it? It's not like his presence is doing anything positive for the team at that moment.

because if you threw Bartlestein out there, he woudln't box out or play man a certain way. He'd get abused even worse and then you would really see why JB leaves G3 out there. G3 brings better gameplay on his worst day than Bartlestein would on his best. It's not even close and there just is not that player sitting on the bench that isn't a huge dropoff in talent. You have to be very creative in how you try to motivate players in situations like this, because benching some of these guys is just not an option.

Levert only played 4 min yesterday. Not a good 4 min, but certainly not enough to get into the groove needed to be effective. One of our best defensive guys not playing, while Wisconsins top rated offense is putting up 50+ in the second half. This didn't make sense to me.

I don't think Levert is ready to play the 4 position. I really wonder if G3 would've been better playing the 3 all year with Stauskus at the 2, but then again, JB's options were limited.

Yep, that would've solved all of our problems, throw Levert out there to cover Ryan Evans, because G3 couldn't get it done.

and dont give me that coaches speak crap. levert has only played 10+ minutes against top competition twice. at iu and his big game against msu. there is no way that this team is way worse on depth if he isnt playing. the reason beilein has played him is because he is too tlaented not to just like he said. thats the irritating part. the last 2 losses he played 3 and 4 minutes. that is unacceptable when you go back and look at it. it has nothing to do with depth.

Come on, man. JB isn't going to come out and say that he needs Levert to play instead of redshirt, because we just don't have any depth. I don't know if you've been watching, but Bielfeldt isn't very good.

Morgan, Horford, and McGary have all been inconsistent.

didnt say i was smarter than JB. i think JB has gotten a little complacent with these kids because he isnt used to coaching so much talent. this does happen with coaches sometimes. guys that are used to making lesser athletes better do sometimes get overwhelmed with so much talent when they get it and dont know how to react to it. maybe just maybe he has stepped back a little letting the talented kids play their game and it his bitten him in the ass as of late and the staff isnt sure how to react to it.

26-7 with the 8th youngest team in all of the NCAA.. Take a breath everyone.. That is a damn good record and we have not had to worry about a NCAA berth all season ...JB has a great class coming in next year and i think another guy signed for the following year who is good.. Hopefully we can make a deep run but i fear some of the freshmen have hit that so called wall.. Plus defensively we have not been the same since Morgan's ankle injury knocked him out a few games...
26-7 is a good thing... We should be happy... Yes we did let some games get away from us... Hopefully those type of games turn into wins next year..
