Belichick Fond memories Of Detroit

Vince Lombardi, Belichick, or Parcells couldn't make the Lions into a dynasty, while Russ Thomas was Lions GM, and especially not when Milllen was hired @ the same time that Belichick became the Patriots HC. One of the biggest reasons why the Lions have one of the worst records of futilty, is b/c of the late WCF's shitty picks for GMs, who also enjoyed head-scratching longevity, unlike the HCs that they hired.

Yeah probably not. But hey they were good in the 1950's and Ford's first two seasons LOl..

Isn't this the second season that the Lions have had Ford's initials in remembrance on their home jersey sleeves?

Hopefully this will be the last season.

Don't have any genuine home jerseys for any player from this year or '17, but if I did, it would be their white road version.

I liked the black w/honolulu blue numbers and striping as well...after all this "was" the former "black and blue" Central Division that the Lions franchise was in.

I used to think that the Bears' dark navy blue home jerseys and helmets were black as a kid, back when we still had just B&W TV sets to watch.

IMO, the current Lions jerseys look washed out like they had been through the laundry too many times, but most everyone else seems to like them, with perhaps the exception of their blue alt-pants.

I didn't mind the black stripe outlines, as they sharpened the white, silver, and blue on their unis and "Bubbles" silhouette decal on their helmets....but if it were up to me, I would either get rid of the decal, or create one which looks more like the snarling face and mane of a real tawny-colored lion.

I loved the color rush. If they would use a matte blue or steel helmet it would be perfect!

Well....they are the first NFL team to incorporate gray..err..silver in their jerseys. How about chrome helmets ala the Oregon Ducks, or maybe brushed stainless steel ala the '80-'81 DeLorean? (my Bil owned one which he managed to have hand-signed by JDL in the glovebox, and he let me wash and drive it several times). The car actually wasn't very 0-60 fast, but it sure was a head-turner on the roads and freeways.
