I'm not sold on this new-look SF receiving core. One game does not a decent receiving core make...just ask the Bears with Marshall. Gore is the one who worries me. They keep saying his workload is going to decrease but it doesn't. He still runs as hard as he did when he was a rookie.

Thankfully their QB is A. Smith. The problem wasn't there WR's not getting open last year against the Giants, it was the stud QB bouncing passes to them. No one argues that there a physical run team, but as long as they have Smith throwing passes they're going to have an average passing game. Stop Gore/Hunter like they did S. Jackson and we have a chance.

That is not good news...it will be very difficult to beat the 9ers with Green playing quality minutes. Talented or not,he is way to raw to be relyed upon.

The game plan doent change at all, pressure the QB and stop the run. If the Lions can somehow get ahead and force Smkth to throw it they have a shot, but without the top 3 DBs on the team, that task just got a lot more daunting.

Its frustrating that seamingly every nationally televised game we have key defensive players hurt. Figures.

It just does. Which is why it took us awhile in Minny, can't win in GB and have never won in RFK (Washington). Even with bad teams from Washington we couldn't win.
