Restructure Calvin. 8 years, $140 million, $65 million guaranteed. First year cap hit, $12 million (save 10).
Re-sign Tulloch. 5 years, $33 million, $15 guaranteed. First year cap hit, $4 million
Corey Williams takes pay cut down to $2 million (save 3).
Re-sign Backus for $3 million.
Re-sign Hill for $1.5 million.
Give SLH and Levy tenders. Not sure of the cost, but I'll guess $1.5 million each.
Tag Avril, trade him to Jax for a 2nd.
Re-sign Wright. 3 years, $9 million, $4 guaranteed. First year cap hit, $2 million.
Re-sign Kevin Smith. 1 year, $1 million.

Seems like there's enough for a quality FA at a reasonable price. I'll go with Michael Griffin. Not sure what his value is though. 5 years, $25 million?

Sign a #4 WR. Plenty of cheap options, all better than Maurice Stovall. Eddie Royal?

Draft:
1st rd: Janoris Jenkins CB
2nd rd: Vinny Curry DE
2nd rd: Kelechi Osemele OG
3rd rd: Andrew Datko OT

Maybe they'll get rid of Peterman with the plan of drafting a guard. That would save around $3 million or so, which they could use on a better RB.

The whole tag and trade thing sounds wonderful but I cant remember it ever happening. Who is going to find value in guy not under contract who says he hates the tag and will sit out if he gets it, and then you have to retag or sign ti mega bucks the following year in order to keep him. Any team that trades away a 2nd rd pick for a guy that might not be on your team the following year is dumb imo. More power to mm if he gets it done....i just dont see it happening.

Packers tagged Corey Williams and traded him to the Browns for a 2nd IIRC. Teams have a lot of cap space this year, so I don't think money is going to be that big of an issue for a bunch of them.

Just saw on the espn ticker that dashon goldson is a fa? Havent seen his name on other fa lists. If thats the case give him the money!

Goldson isn't going anywhere...already said he wants and expects to be back in SF with either the tag or a long term deal.
