Lets just hope that Stafford shows some marked improvement next season, b/c the Lions still have a
lot of years and $$$ invested in him. If he doesn't then they may still have to start Matt until maybe the last year or two of his extended contract that runs through the...gulp... '17 season.
"The Lions didn't do much of that last year, losing their last eight games to flop to a 4-12 record after a 10-win season."
"Stafford said he's eager for training camp to begin so he and the Lions can work to erase the memory of last year's disappointing results."
"You know, I feel great physically and mentally ready to go. I know all the guys are. You know, we're excited to get back out there as a team and
kind of get the bad taste out of our mouth from last year and I'm going to be the one spearheading the charge and getting this going in the right direction," he said.
Well...looks like Matt and his teammates will need to use more mouthwash next season, since things didn't exactly go quite far enough in the right direction in '13...
