Michigan gained its first commitment in the 2026 class on Tuesday with a pledge from four-star quarterback Brady Hart, furthering the picture of the Wolverines' future at the position in the wake of national champion and first-round NFL draft pick J.J. McCarthy.
Hart, the 6-foot-5 passer from Florida's Cocoa High School, is ranked 120th in the 2026 ESPN 300 and is the No. 8 pocket passer in his class. He picked Sherrone Moore's program over finalists Ohio State, LSU, Miami, Florida and Clemson.
Hart's commitment follows an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor this past weekend. As a first-year starter last fall, Hart led Cocoa High School to a 14-1 record and the Florida 2A state championship with 41 touchdowns to 11 interceptions.

I assume this is good news. He had an offer from Ohio State.
