Two losses to the Detroit Lions has Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall chirping a little bit on the radio.

Earlier today, filling in on “The Jay Cutler Show” on ESPN 1000, Marshall jokingly referred to the Lions as the “little brother” to the Bears who finally had enough.

Marshall also called the Lions’ play “borderline illegal.”

“It’s the little brother that kind of grew up a little bit,” Marshall said, according to ESPN’s Michael C. Wright. “He may be a little taller than the big brother. He’s not stronger. He’s not better than the big brother at anything. But that one day, he just says, ‘I’m fed up. I’m done. I’m gonna punch my brother in the face.’”

The Lions edged the Bears 21-19 on Sunday after smothering running back Matt Forte on an attempt at a game-tying two-point conversion in the final minute at Soldier Field. The victory pushed the Lions to sole possession of first place in the NFC North with a 6-3 record, just ahead of the Bears and Green Bay Packers, who are 5-4 apiece.

The win also completed the Lions’ first 2-game sweep of the season series against the Bears since 2007. Last year, the Bears won both regular-season matchups. But anyway, Marshall continued:

“It’s the little brother that, big brother wants to go out and play with his friends and the little brother is annoying, (saying), ‘Hey, can I go?’” Marshall said. “No, you can’t go, Detroit Lions. Sit back. Sit in your little city. Fix your financial problems and all of that, you know. You can’t come with us right now. But right now, they’ve got the best of us. They beat us twice. They swept us. But what matters is when we see them in the playoffs. It’ll be a great show. It’s gonna be tough. But I guarantee it’s not gonna go down like it did the first two games.”

Also, when asked if the Lions were a dirty team, Marshall said: “They’re borderline illegal. I’ll attach my name to it. I’m looking at film today and it was kind of disgusting to see the D-line go out of their way to knock our quarterbacks down after every single play. The ball was gone. They’re pushing them down. They’re hitting them below their knees. It was kind of disgusting. It seemed like it was game-planned, but it was borderline. You can’t say it was illegal. But it was definitely one of those things where you say, ‘Hey, we’ve got to pay attention to this.’”

The Lions drew two penalties on the Bears’ final drive Sunday for roughing the passer – one on Nick Fairley early in the drive, then later on Willie Young during the Bears’ initial two-point attempt.

Good. Ask Michigan how foolish it is to throw around the term, "little brother".

Mike Hart said the same thing about MSU......

"Little Brother" has owned them since.

I'm not worried.

Remember he has this:

Borderline Personality Disorder

A serious mental illness characterized by pervasive instability in moods, interpersonal relationships, self-image, and behavior. This instability often disrupts family and work life, long-term planning, and the individual's sense of self-identity. Originally thought to be at the "borderline" of psychosis, people with BPD suffer from a disorder of emotion regulation. While less well known than schizophrenia or bipolar disorder (manic-depressive illness), BPD is more common, affecting 2 percent of adults, mostly young women.

Lions have been and apparently still are the "Rodney Dangerfields" of the NFL.

So what does Marshall consider the AFC Cleveland Browns to be, since they have mostly mirrored the Lions long string of SB futility albeit having a several year gap between the current pro-football club and the original franchise, whose records and player/team history they retained?

"little cousin?"

Seriously though, that dig @ the Lions is insulting and should be clubhouse bulletin-board material, especially if "Da Bearz" somehow still manage to clinch a WC berth and were to play vs the Lions in the playoffs, however remote the possibility.

Its just been reported that Tillman is out for the rest of the regular season. So their chances of making the WC just went down.

Not sure what he is talking about, since Brandon got their in 2012 were 2-2 head to head and neither team has made the playoffs.

So isn't borderline illegal just another way of saying legal? This dude and from what I can tell a majority of bears fans are just butt hurt and trying to come up with excuses.

Lions players come from and live/reside throughout the nation, so how does the city of Detroit's economic woes have anything to do with the Lions team and franchise whatsoever, other than bringing in added revenue including from visiting Lions fans who mainly/mostly live in the suburbs/exurbs?

Marshall=mega-moron

+1 Exactly what I thought

Hey Marshall, I guarantee it’s not gonna go down like it did the first two games because the Bears will not be in the playoffs.

How about some preparation h for that hemroid mr. marshal?

my question is, is Mike Hart getting royalties from his 'insult?' lol

Marshall needs to go back to beating women or whatever he does in his spare time. What a douche

This is the 2nd time he has called a team or player dirty. Didn't he learn when Merriweather threw it back in his wife beating face.

Probably not, that was one of his other personalities that made that comment

Ain't this a season for drinking tears?! Everyone wants to act out when they can't beat up on the same team year after year.
