2025 Michigan Baseball Schedule & Scores

Um blownout at home 12-5. Two loss3s in a row. Now 13-12 and
5-5 conference.

Michigan pummeled at #15 Oregon 15-2 in 7. No w 8-7 8n conference and 16-13 overall.

Michigan beat Oakland 8-7 in 10 innings. Trailed 7-6 after they broke the tie. Scored two to win it. Team improves to 19-14 overall.

Box score.

It's crazy how random college baseball seems to be, or maybe how much parity there is between programs that in theory should be dominant over others.

At least it looks like we're in good shape for the BTT as of now. More conference games against sub 0.500 teams remain than games against good teams.

Nice seeing OSU in the cellar, and even worse overall.

I looked at Oakland University’s roster and they draw from all over the country. Maybe not the best kids from Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, California, and some of the other states that I saw, but they all ain’t kids from Brother Rice!

not a good analogy; since the Warriors stopped being a football mill, they've gotten better at all other sports.

Wait, what? Rice no longer manufactures football players? Was this intentional?
Well, the football program hasn't been the same since Al Fracassa retired. It didn't fall off a cliff immediately, but they then fired one of his successors (a Rice alum and former player) for failing to maintain Fracassa's winning %, and then things REALLY went into the toilet. They actually had a winless season a couple years ago. It kinda reminds me of the Nebraska -> Frank Solich Firing situation. Fire a coach who goes 10-2 because he didn't go 12-0, and now you're learning the answer to "how bad can it get?"

I've also noticed based on the alumni mags they send the school seems a lot prettier than it used to. More money = less likely to want their kids risking CTE. A couple years of high school glory at the expense of having a functioning brain past age 50.

Long story short: Rice is better at basketball and baseball now than they are at football.
