Breshad Perriman runs 4.27 at pro day

Definitely doesn't look like it if you watch some of him. Not saying he is slow but he plays against teams like Akron ect. And doesn't look that much faster.

Who cares how fast a guy is..WR is all about routes and hands.

Jerry Rice ran a 4.71

end of thread

He didn't run a 4.71, Bill Walsh clocked him at 4.59. Still slow but not 4.71.

TEST: 40 YARD SPRINT

This is considered the universal measurable. It is the obvious measuring stick and the utility tool that everyone uses. When you refer to an athlete you typically refer to his 40-yard dash time. So often the conditions can make a difference in the times. Jerry Rice timed in 4.59 and was considered to have marginal speed for a starting NFL wide receiver by virtually everyone in the NFL. There were three or four teams -- including the Jets and the Cowboys along with the 49ers -- who rated him very highly. Other than that, I'm not sure anybody did, simply because of a 4.59 time.

Lions absolutely need to draft Perriman this year. Then when Barry Jr comes around, he is an absolute MUST as well.

They absolutely need to get these names on the team because the last time the Lions won a playoff game was when these names were on the team. It is their DESTINY!!!

Great hands, ? route runner, and apparently fast as well. They all go together, man.

Speed only matters if you have the other two. Otherwise it doesn't matter at all..Many fast guys failed because that's all they had.

I get that man, look at Cordarelle Patterson, dude is a 1st round kick returner, because he can't run routes. My guess, route running will be one of Perriman biggest strengths given who his father is.

I don't know if it works that way..

Perriman is really raw but the potential to be a #1 is there. Just might take a couple of years. Read some reports that he tends to have the dropsies every now and then. Wish we had a 4th to snag him...

Scouting report is that he's a sloppy route runner actually. I love his upside though...
