Announcing October 3rd. Visiting Kentucky this weekend. This appears to be a two team battle. I'd say him moving up his date is a good sign for us, but it's still at best 50-50.

I think any battle for a top recruit with Kentucky should be considered less than 50-50. Whether you think Calipari is a cheater or not, there's no denying that he gets the players he wants.

At first thought, then you see pics of bridges, Winston, Ward and Langford together all wearing SPARTAN attire. Bridges posting MSU tweets, bridges mom hanging out with langford and wards mom....

Electric MSU football atmosphere. He should go and check out Cheatuckys next football game *yawn*

Normally id say Kentucky is in front of a 5 star thats "between MSU and Cheatucky"

Id say Jackson wont come to MSU but I really think Bridges will
Id say 60/40 (as of now) MSU on this one..

so hard to turn UK down and I never feel good in a battle against them but the signs are good for this one. setting your announcement date while at MSU or as soon as you get home is a positive. I'd say it's 50/50 and I gave us a 25% chance last week

Bridges had a great time on his visit and his best friend, Winston, is likely committing this Friday. If that's all it was I'd give Kentucky still a much better than 50% chance, but what is different is this. Bridges was scheduled to take his official visit to UK during their Midnight Madness event, it's where they roll out the red carpet and have several celebrities and rappers present, Drake and others were scheduled to perform. It's basically like a free concert and celebrity mixer to woo recruits, what kid wouldn't want to go to that? Bridges moved up his official to this weekend, he wants to get it over with and he's deciding October 3rd. To me, that means more than all the cool twitter pics Bridges sent of he and his potential coach and future teammates.

I still think it's 50-50. but turning down the biggest recruiting party in the country because you just want to make your decision could mean a lot.

Don't like that he says he "feels pressured" - not the most optimistic phrasing. Kids that age want to be in charge, they don't like being told what to do. I also don't like the fact that he plays for a prep school in WV - sorta weakens the "Flint" factor. Hopefully KY insults him w/ a lowball offer and he decides it's not worth the money.

I don't like the tone of the quotes in that article but that was from June. I saw him with Draymond and Valentine and a few other recruits at Kellogg on saturday night after the game, I think we're in a good spot since he decided to accelerate after his MSU visit.

Several writers saying they have sources that are saying Bridges is MSU bound. Don't want to get my hopes up because it's Kentucky, but this would make a monster class.

Me either but it almost makes too much sense. I felt after this visit and the things that transpired we have to be favored. Jackson isnt out of the picture as well, we are in his top 5. I noticed hes originally from Ca so its feasible to say hed play out there. Especially after knowing how bad winter bites in Detroit. If you think about it, ITS TIME for Izzo to have a monster class. when Thad Matta is getting all these guys and Calipari, why the hell shouldnt Izzo??? I know he doesnt recruit for the purpose of all blue chips but its high god damn time a handful of big time players want to come to MSU instead of the occasional.

:spin:

A Kentucky insider who a while back was saying Bridges to UK was a done deal, said all that changed this weekend and MSU is now the team to beat. His mother is more comfortable with Izzo and Bridges had a fantastic time this weekend.

A class of Langford, Bridges, Winston, and Ward would be pretty epic. 2 sure fire McD's AA's and another potential one in Winston. That would be 4 top 42 players. And Ward I think is underrated, he's a load down low with great feet.

Regardless of his intention to play out of state, Im surprised Josh Jackson didnt make the Oregon game.

OK, Bridges visited Kentucky this weekend and insiders have dubbed his visit, "sub par". There are more than a few recruitniks now saying he's a lock to MSU. He's going to the Nike Hoops summit from October 2nd through 4th, Josh Langford and Cassius Winston will be in attendance, he is announcing on the 3rd.

I don't think it's a lock or anything, but I think we land Bridges.

Kentucky insider and radio broadcaster Matt Jones, "The first is concerning one of my favorite recruits in the 2016 class, Miles Bridges, who at one time was a near certainty to go to Kentucky. Over the past two weeks, he has visited Michigan State and Kentucky and now my confidence in his ending up a Cat has dissipated quite a bit. I am hearing that Bridges had a tremendous visit to Michigan State and they put on the full court press (including visiting with some former Spartans) for he and other top talents. His visit to Kentucky was this past weekend and while it went well, there is a growing feeling that the Spartans may have overtaken the Cats as the leader. Bridges is of course making his decision in two weeks and things can always change. But for a long time, I assumed Bridges (one of my 3-4 favorite players in the class) would end up a Cat. I no longer feel that is certain and after talking to some folks today, if forced to predict as of today, I would bet on Izzo getting the commitment (and finishing up maybe his best class ever)."

Ive been confident myself since the day after his visit. Next stop, Jackson.

The Bridges "crystal ball" went from UK 74% MSU 26%

NOW UK 70% MSU 30%

I guess they really must know more than us.
