I kept thinking why the hell would he leave Denver for Houston, but then I saw the numbers...4 yr/$72mil Good lord that's insane for a very unproven QB....

Kind of have to wonder if Denver could have kept Osweiler had Peyton announced his Retirement early. Would have given them a chance to lock him up before he hit FA...

They are kind of in a rough spot now - I can see them taking a flyer on RG3, and then drafting a QB in the 1st...

I'm not sold on Osweiler but now who does Denver get? Of course with that defense, I'm sure end zone Dan could manage.

Denver is going to have an amazing environment for a rookie QB. Watch Cook get drafted by the Broncos, he could make the Pro-Bowl.....puke

Even before Manning Retired they offered him 4 for $45M. That seems the right range. Houston must know something or they are taking a real gamble.

With the pieces lost in Denver he might be in a better position Defense wise to succeed in Houston. Will have some weapons there too

It seems like every year at least 1 unproven QB gets a really big contract.

Seeing contracts like this make me appreciate Stafford more. Matt may never be an elite QB, but damn if he isn't world's better than the garbage other teams are scrambling over.

Living in Colorado, I get to see the Donkeys play often. I think Osweiler has a chance to be pretty darn good. He had games locked up only to see receivers bobble away sure points, good passes turn into INTs, etc. Yes, he made some mistakes too but without good support I think Kubiak/Elway panicked and went back to Manning. Had the team played for Osweiler like they played for Manning, well it's not like they could do better than win it all...but Osweiler would be signed in Denver right now.

BO has the measurables, youth, and an arrow pointing up. BH is just the opposite.

Matt Flynn getting destroyed on Twitter because he had the audacity to criticize Brock getting big money as an unproven QB. The irony is beyond hilarious.

That guy should have a shrine to Gunther Cunningham like Pedro Cerrano had JoBu in his locker.

At one time.....Jamarcus Russell and RGIII had measurables and an arrow pointing up, too.

Who knows. It's a shit ton of money for a player who's never PROVEN he's better than a journeyman QB.

Exactly the point. Both were top picks. Teams will chase that.
