Broyles torn ACL, out for year (Update)

I was beginning to warm to Broyles, he ran good routes and caught the ball. But, alas, there's a reason why so many other teams passed on him, he's had some serious injuries, I know this is the other knee now, but man, wtf?

"He couldn't go back (in)," Schwartz said. "We'll do some tests tomorrow, but there's some concern."

Teams passed on Broyles and Best for good reasons, we took a chance and like usual, when we take a chance, we get burnt. Hope the kid can overcome his injuries and be a force next year, because we have basically no one outside of Calvin Johnson to play receiver otherwise.

At this point, I have little doubt we take a WR within the 1st 2 rounds of the draft. Typing that made me throw up in my mouth a little bit. FUCK!

oh i don't know about taking a wr in the first 2 rounds when we still need to replace best and likely avril, kvb, then there's the OL and the DBs.

Obviously, Scheffler is in that mix as well......but holy shit it's 2008 all over again. Megatron is gonna get quadruple teamed.

Just insane. Only the Lions. It's a combination of stupidity and terrible luck, but wtf? After all the skill players drafted in the last 7 years, we are left with CJ, Pettigrew, and Leshoure, that's it.

Pettigrew is a product of the system. It he was on a run first team, he would catch 35 balls a year.

We need to land a FA WR. A good compliment guy. Burelsons chance on a 2013 return look pretty good now too.

Knee injuries aren't what they used to be, just look at Peterson as an example. Good news is he healed fast from the last one so we should get him back for next year.

Broyles came back by Training camp from a November tear. He'll be back.

Still need a WR because of Young though and Burleson is a cap cut.

DE, Safety, CB(depending on Houston and the rookies) and WR. Speed back would be nice as well.

Who could have known that Best would be a concussion case and Broyles would tear his knee? That Titus would have issues staying on the team? Who could have known?

Anyways grab Greg Jennings or Welker. No. 2 wide out is one of the most important positions if this team wants to keep its identity.
