$7,500 for his facemask penalty in the NO game. Seriously. Can anyone who defends the fine process or says fines are levied for players safety can explain this one?

thats a matter for the NFLPA....they spread their cheeks and just take it.

Must have been a bad one. I missed it apparently while I was cursing at the TV during the game.

It was pretty much like every other facemask. The guy retaliated and threw Burleson down out of bounds after the play and got a flag for it too. Did he get a fine?

probably not...since Corky has become NFL Enemy #1 , the NFL has started bending Lions players over.

It all goes to charity anyway. This team made their own identity and they'll have to live with the consequences.

From what i can remember, it wasn't that bad.

Dude went for a stiff arm and got his fingers caught in the facemask/earhole.

This is the type of thing the NFL needs to avoid before they end up going the route of the NBA/MLB. I may not be that old, but I remember those being MUCH more popular. The NBA had a resurgence last year, but that's only because of the "super team" that everyone is trying to make now.
