Bush's tests on knee "encouraging" according to Schwartz

Bush getting hurt is not bad luck...I think we all knew it would happen at some point. He is a great RB in this type of system but he is injury prone. Hopefully he doesn't get a serious injury that causes him to miss significant time.

Honestly, I don't care what Schwartz has to say at this point. I'd listen if he found a way to get the team playing more disciplined football, but yeah, same old "I won't tell you exactly what it is" stuff. Yep. Hopefully it isn't actually bad for Bush, or something that might start off small and become a bigger issue a few games down the road.

lets all remember he found best to be encouraging coming out of cal too....so ya....the guy is the furthest thing away from a doctor you can possibly imagine.

2 games in the season, he's been healthy the last 2 years....ok, lets not call it bad luck, lets call it Lions luck. ugh...

no shit. Not that anybody cares but knowing Lions luck I took J Bell late in my fantasy draft. Like a little lottery ticket!

this dosn't sound good.

Although coach Jim Schwartz confirmed Reggie Bush's left knee injury is not "long term," Schwartz added "I guess it could be medium term.""If we're going to be without him, we're going to need to find other ways to move the ball and other ways to score because we didn't get that done in the second half," Schwartz said, referred to Detroit's Week 2 offensive stall with Bush sidelined all but two second-half snaps. "He's a good fit in our offense, and we're going to work to get him back as soon as we can." Bush has emerged from each of the Lions' first two games fairly severely beat up. Facing the reeling Redskins, it might not be a bad idea to give Bush a week off. Sep 17 - 7:39 PM

50-50....still not cleared by doctors.

Reggie Bush - RB - Lions Speaking Thursday, Reggie Bush (knee) said he's "farther along than he thought he'd be," and is "optimistic" for Sunday's game against the Redskins.
However, Bush did caution it's "still a long way until Sunday." Bush did not practice Thursday, but plans to give it a go on Friday and "see where he's at." It's beginning to sound like Bush is better than 50-50 to suit up against the league's worst defense, though how large his role will be remains up in the air. If it becomes clear Bush is only going to be a token "active," he'll drop down this week's ranks.

Reggie Bush - RB - Lions Reggie Bush (knee) admitted he hasn't been cleared by team doctors yet and did not practice Thursday.
Speaking on the radio Thursday morning, Bush did say he's "optimistic" he'll get clearance in time to play Sunday. "I feel a lot better than I thought I was going to be feeling at this point in time," Bush said. "My knee feels pretty good. It's a day-to-day thing right now. Thankfully, I avoided anything serious that might have required surgery or being out for a long period of time." Wednesday reports gave Bush a 50-50 shot at suiting up against the Redskins.

Going into the season Schwartz said they were taking a different approach with injuries meaning they were going to let guys get 100% instead of playing at 80-90% with injuries lingering longer than if they just sat out. Now we have bush dinged up and being pushed back into the lineup. Hopefully Theo can make the decision easy for them.

Seems more like a bruise IMO. Holding out guys who are bruised would mean no one plays. Probably is just sore and tight and they hope it will be loose enuf to play on at kickoff.

Muscles get bruised this is a knee which was hyperextended. Ligaments were stretched but didn't snap. Bringing him back to soon could lead to a major injury, so he'll probably be active but in a limited role.

correct....think lattimore but much much much less severe lol. He looked like shit on the sideline and when he went back in the game.....couldn't even walk. Which makes our staff the dumbest fucking people in the world.....hyperextended knee....could have torn ligaments....and we put him back on the field. What a bunch of fucking idiots lol. If they were smart he wouldn't see the field for 2-3 weeks.

If the Skins are so bad and we're going to roll them, LKP thinks so, then sit his ass.

If you need Bell then your team sucks and he can't save you.

I have Lynch, T Rich and MJD. T Rich not worth starting this week and MJD is hurt. It is Bell or D Richardson this week. I like Bell better if he is playing.
