If Josh Ross returns against MSU, does he replace McGrone, who has definitely proven himself, or does Don Brown work them both in (rotating/on the field at the same time)?

Since the wide receivers have been so under-utilized, do they all return next year to raise their draft statuses? I could see Collins leaving, but not Peoples-Jones and definitely not Black.

Who leaves at the end of the season and who do we have returning?

McCaffrey is a JR, but Brian Griese said he has two years left. Did he red-shirt his FR year and if so why isn't he listed as a RS-JR on mgoblue?

Extra credit: Why doesn't Don Brown get that nasty looking finger taken care of? It's not like he doesn't have connections with surgeons.

You got questions...!!!

uh...

I wonder who has answers?!?!

GBiA, your rapid fire question format kinda reminded me of that Dana Carvey SNL skit where he played The McLaughlin Group (link)

I could see PJ and Collins both leaving, but I don't know anything. They both would do great in a combine setting.

McCaffrey definitely has 2 years after this season. I don't know why they wouldn't list him that way.

D Mac definitely has two years to go ...as would Milton after him.

Collins would seem the most 'Pro ready' but DPJ could easily go too. I'd see Black coming back and filling in that larger WR role.

It was funny to watch Saturday's game with Griese calling the game and then to chat with him a bit about the game after he coached my son yesterday. They lost ...team was terrible. I plan to coach in the Spring and take my players back ... (25-2-1) with Three Championships and one Runner Up in four seasons.

Was Griese a walk on?

During the game they showed the top 10 passers in Michigan history & Griese said something about how he was only a walk on, but laughed. Not sure if he was kidding.

I remember hearing he was kind of a jackass (both on the team and around campus), until his senior year, when he pulled it together. but I didn't know he was a walk on.

Ah, yeah, wikipedia cofirms... Griese turned down scholarships to Purdue & Kentucky to walk on.

Yes, he walked on. I have the book that he and his dad co-authored, Undefeated. He thought about Purdue, like dad, (don't remember if he was offered there) but decided to walk on at Michigan.

Yeah, he walked on and rushed Sigma Nu. After he went on scholly he quit the fraternity. For some reason there were quite a few TC guys in Sigma Nu and from their stories, he was a dickhead back then.

Yep, he admits in the book that he was pretty messed up for the first couple years. Then he got his head on straight the last two years. He thought about leaving at one point.

From what I?ve read and heard, that hasn?t changed.

Fairly deep into this, article, former Michigan star Jim Mandingo describes Greise as being, among other things, ?borderline cocky,? and ?aloof.?

I?ve heard and read some other similar things here and there.

In a radio interview, I heard some sportscaster saying that he had heard from Bronco teammates that Greise was a cancer in the locker room.

He was in FIJI, not Sigma Nu. wikipedia confirms; I had a bunch of friends in Sigma Nu, and it was not as much of a jackass house as Fiji.

Without delving into non-OP related tangents too much ...alcohol played a very big role in his younger years and impacted his decision-making and general behavior. My co-worker's wife waited on him back when he was the Broncos QB after a home win. He tipped her $1 on the eight player bill. A few years ago she saw him and went to say Hello in general and said, "you wouldn't remember but I once waited on you when you were the Broncos QB..." and before she could finish he said, "I apologize for whatever it is that I did ...I was a different person then."

Other anecdotal stories include (former M player) Trevor Pryce punching his lights out at a team party when it was reported he "tripped in the driveway" and other such local stories.

It has also been said that Elway was pulled over repeatedly for DUI but always escorted home by the cops. This is all pre-TMZ of course, but likely quite true.

he should've given her a fair tip to make it up to her!

"I was a different person back then" LOL!

I should use that line...

"Hey you're that guy who backed into my car and just drove away!"

"Sorry, I was a different person then!"

"It was just last week, asshole!"

"I know. I've changed a lot in the last 7 days."

Right next to my boxing gym is a dive bar, and one day as I was walking past it to the gym, I noticed that a sign had been placed on the door that restrooms were for customers only and anyone who violated their policy would be subject to a complaint to the police.

An amusing notion crossed my mind, and I walked in and I asked the woman who was the bartender ?what if a person with a horrible drinking problem comes in, and goes to the bathroom before coming to the bar, and has an epiphany in the bathroom and comes out and says to you ?I fully came in here intending to buy a drink but while I was in the bathroom I quit drinking. I?m leaving and heading to an AA meeting now.? Would you call the cops in that situation??

Not surprisingly, she did not find the notion as amusing as I had.
