Caldwell: No changes to Lions' staff, play-calling duties this week

We don't have anyone with play calling experience on the staff. It's either Caldwell or Lombardi. Washburn, Prince, Modkins, Jim Bob can't do it.

just because the don't have experience doesn't mean they wouldn't be an improvement over Lombardi & Cladwell!

I hate to be that all-knowing fan, but is it really that freaking confusing? I'm tired of coaches making football out to be solving the problem of dark matter and black holes.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than speak out and remove all doubt.

Caldwell is never going to take play calling duties. Right now he has the luxury of letting Lombardi take all the blame. If he takes over and continues to fail, and he would, suddenly he's on the hot seat himself.

Which is total horse shit. He's the one who picked Lombardi, and who has the overall duties of the team. The fact that he's not willing to make a change speaks even more to his inability to coach.

Edit: Your words aren't horse shit, just the concept that Caldwell gets off scot-free.

Not really. I don't think this does ANYTHING for this team. Needs to be more than Lombardi.

Caldwell is either:
A) dumb
B) lied to the entire fanbase
C) management and him have no discussions whatsoever on personnel

No matter what the option is....its proof the lions franchise is a joke.

Drawing up plays in the grass in the huddle would be better than Lombardi.....so I disagree....we are better today then we were yesterday for the mere fact we lost our OC.

What's Caldwell supposed to say?? This is a step in the right direction. And you can't fire everyone at once.

And this was called weeks ago btw. Everyone knew the axe was coming and either co-ordinator was gone.
