Casey Mize Erie debut

That's awesome. He was pitching so good in the lower league.. Glad to see him continue at AA.

That is amazing!! Can't wait to see the young group of pitchers in Detroit.

Alex Faedo, the No. 18 overall pick by the Detroit Tigers in the 2017 MLB draft, combined with reliever Drew Carlton to throw a no-hitter on April 24, for the SeaWolves in a 4-0 win over Bowie at UPMC Park in Erie, Pennsylvania.

The defense made some killer plays behind him as well, including a nice diving catch by Derek Hill. IMO Erie is probably the most exciting Tigers team to watch right now, tons of young talent on that team.

Kid had a 0.35 ERA and 0.31 WHIP at Lakeland through 4 starts....awesome

His two outings before this one we're both 1 hitters. An infield hit and a bunt single. Gone 76 batters now since a hit to the OF. That's an amazing stat at any level.

I wonder if he sees the Bigs this year ? September or sooner ? Or just Toledo.

I sur-"Mize" that Casey will remain in AA for the season.

Best players around ml ball are in AA. Best to leave him there.

The players with the most raw talent are in AA, but overall, the more polished are in AAA. They may not have the ceiling of the AA players, but they are more experienced.

Yeah, AAA is still better baseball and closer to MLB. All the AAAA players end up in AAA. Mike Hessman type guys.

Nah, AAA has guys who go back in forth and are most fodder who career ml'ers / rehab guys. Take AA vs AAA on MLB teams and compete and AA is coming out on top. Generally. Guys like JV and most studs never make it to AAA.

He even said his fastball was the worst it has been all season . Amazing.

I can't wait him, Fraedo & Manning. Pair them with Boyd and Fuller/Turnbull.

From what I understand the top 3 are Mize, Manning and Perez. Fadeo and Burrows are a little behind those 3.

Ideally you would get your top 3 pitchers from those 5 and have Boyd and Fulmer fill out the rotation.
