To wit:<blockquote>New Kansas coach Charlie Weis told a Kansas City radio station he doesn't plan on being a Jayhawk for life (as relayed by ESPN): "It's going to be a quick stop. It's going to be five years. ... What we're going to do here is we're going to go try to turn this program into a perennial winning program and then try to have it where one of the guys on this coaching staff takes over."</blockquote>Good thing he let them know he was bigger than KU and would be moving on to better things as soon as he was done... I'm sure that could only serve to motivate his players, right?

His 5-year plan at ND worked out great for them, so there's no reason to expect this one to be any less successful.

Hope he name-dropped Tom Brady, or "Tommy" as he calls him too, since obviously, Charlie was solely responsible for his success... just look at how great Brady Quinn and Jimmy Clausen are doing. Oh wait.

Stop making threads about former Michigan rival's coaches!

Heh.

Maybe KU will schedule Arizona sometime soon, and we can look forward to the thrilling RichRod - Lardass Weis rivalry continuing.

It would be called "The Battle of the Excuse Maker Has Beens."

The winner won't be the team that scores the most points either, but the one that comes up with the best excuses.

Excuses that put all the blame on players, especially true freshmen, the fans, or anyone else who has nothing to do with the actual performance of the team, are worth double.

I heard him on the radio and he came off as a completely arrogant fuck. (I think it was the Dan Patrick Show) When asked if he'd heard from Brady or Belicheck and who'd called first, he immediately responded both had immediately contacted him ... but that Tommy had texted him because he's too cool to call.

I imagine both Brady and Belichick are embarrassed to be associated with him.

Weis is like the fat kid in school with no friends that the cool kids were nice to once, and now he won't leave them alone.

I don't know if the image is out on the interwebs, but during a UF game this year ... vs maybe South Carolina or Georgia, the CBS camera crew capture Weis on the sideline sitting on a cooler, sweating his balls off and looking like he's about as miserable as you could be.

The "offensive guru" who all the noter dame sucks fans claimed created Brady and the Pats, getting whomped, sweating his ass off and incapable of standing for an entire game.

Yeah .... that's the kind of guy you want leading your program.

His KU contract is absolutely INSANE. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7353310/charlie-weis-contract-kansas-jayhawks-guarantees-25m-year: <blockquote>Weis' base salary is $230,000, though he is also in line for an additional $2.27 million in "professional services rendered," which includes educational, promotional and public relations duties. (note: these numbers are PER YEAR)</blockquote> Honestly... what has this putz done to deserve that? In what other profession can you be this much of a failure and still make this much money? Unbelievable. And... tuition for students continues to skyrocket just about everywhere in the country, while many schools are forced to cut faculty, cut classes, sometimes even entire departments. I guess... even if Weis goes 0-24 over two seasons, KU football brings in enough ticket, merchandise, and ad revenue to justify his existence?

You would think Hostess would pay him more.

"Ok, if you sign with Kansas I will provide you with all the twinkes you can eat. They are like steroids but with sugar only, and they last forever"

My wife always asked me where "Fatass" is coaching. LOL, thats not her typical language so it cracks me up when she brings it up.

Didn't Kansas have another big dude coaching a few years back?

But that guy was a good coach. He almost keeled over, though. Wasn't it Mangino or something like that.

his name always reminded me of the term "mangina"

should've changed that one when they got off the boat.

Mangino was HUGE. You looked like he was one pizza short of exploding or from being a balloon in the Macy's parade.
