Its a funny article. Chase is funny in the article, but I don't like the tone by the author in some of it. It seems that when he(Dennis Dodd) is saying something good about Chase, he is cutting him down a the same time. It seems as though CBS is a little bias this week in favor of the Bucks. They also have a disrespect article on OSU and their playoff hopes. CBS is the SEC's partner and are hoping Michigan blows it. They think they should have 2 teams in the playoff if UM fails. Fuck all the turds!! Go Blue!!

Regardless of what happens in the SEC championship game, if Michigan doesn't win on Saturday, then the B1G will not have a representative in the CFP. That would be a shame.

OSU will not win this game. But if they did & won the Big CG, they get in under this scenario.

1 Bama rolls in SEC title game
2 OU loses to WVU or TX
3 WSU loses another game (OSU probably jumps them anyway with a win over UM)

Again, OSU isn't going to win, but I can see at least 2 of those things happening, maybe all three.

I sure hope Michigan wins this weekend. I agree with TD. Osu is a longshot to get in. I also hate that certain publications yap non-stop about the Sec. There has to be change somehow.

Move the playoffs to 8 teams ..There is a big difference in two or three 1 loss teams bitching about not making it at number 5 in the playoff rankings, and a 2 loss team bitching about not making it in from the nine spot. I can’t wait until it’s a eight team playoff or more then teams like UCF can get a shot.

I'm also looking forward to when D-1 college football doesn't have the worst postseason in all of sports.

The NBA and NHL have the worst postseasons in all of the sports. Both are WAY too long. Most postseasons are watered down with too many teams. I know a lot of people like March Madness, but I also think it's too watered down. College football is hands down the best sport. It has the best regular season and a great postseason.

I also can't wait for teams like UCF to get throttled by a 2 loss SEC team.

My thought is getting a big ten team in that may get snubbed by the committee. Ucf type teams won?t happen every single year...

Does anybody know Chase’s status for the game Saturday?

EDT: I don't know what The Spun is but this is from there.

They aren't saying on purpose, but Patterson (his roommate) came closest to saying something like "I would think he would be playing" or something like that. Gary says ask Harbaugh.

UCF is a very fast team. I honestly think they would get in over OSU if things fell into place. They jumped them this week in the CFP. As for getting throttled, that probably wouldnt happen. Remember, they were the ones that throttled Auburn just last year. The same Auburn team that beat up Alabama. Auburn had no answer for UCFs speed and were overwhelmed.

that could be true. However, on the other hand, Auburn may have not been as enthused to be playing UCF in a bowl game.

As far as them getting in over OSU....that would not happen. For OSU to be considered, they would have beaten UM and Northwestern. UCF's best win wouldn't even be as good as beating Northwestern.

I'm a big believer in being molded by competition. Put a P5 school against them with something to play for and I feel they get trucked on most occasions. I'm not saying they couldn't be a competitive P5 school, I'm just saying until they replace Vanderbilt or some other perennial P5 cellar dwellar they'll be treated like the bottom feeders (that's literally what they are, they feed on the worst) they are.

Yeah, winning it on the court, field, or ice isn't the way to go.

I thoroughly enjoy the Hooters I Forgot My Bra Bowl, Jiffy Lube Quick Oil Change Bowl, The Why Is Ball State Here Bowl?, and the grandest spectacle of the New Jersey Sun Tan Salon Bowl. The pageantry is out of this world.

There is a 0% chance UCF would be higher than OSU if OSU won out.

well, I would rather watch a bowl game between two evenly matched teams than any 1v16, 2v15, 3v14 4v13, 5vs12 NCAA game; any NHL playoff game period; any NBA game outside the finals.

Everybody has their preferences.

Everything outside of 1v16 is a chance for an upset. That's why the tourney is the best event.

I totally agree about the competition, and that is their advantage over a big time program in a bowl game. They're NOT getting the same dings and season wear. And when you add in all those kids from Florida and the surrounding areas..........I wouldnt want to be that school that plays them. They're dangerous because they would be fresh. Add to that their speed and it could be a shitty day for a program like LSU(possible New Years 6 game).

To the others that say its impossible for them to go to the playoff, you are probably right, but anything is possible. There would be a lot of people lobbying for a team that has gone 25-0 the past 2 years. Now do I think they should get in? Fuck No!!!! My reasoning for that is in my first paragraph. If you dont get the dings and the wear, you dont belong. That is my sentiment toward a 1 loss Alabama getting in over OSU, OU, or Wazzu if all should win out. Sorry, but The Citadel is nothing more than a practice..........nothing more.

I disagree. That 15 seed isn't going to win the tournament anyway, so how is that a good thing? A 15 seed beating a 2 seed only makes the path for the other teams in that bracket easier. I have no interest in any of these shitty teams in the NCAA bracket even being invited. Give me the top 16 teams and make it 2 weekends.
