Chase Young NCAA Violation

they'll make sure he can play against us though.

Of course. Just like in 2011, when several Buckeyes who had been suspended most of the season were back just in time for The Game. Makes me wonder how much bigger UM's winning margin would've been if those guys had still been out.

My favorite was 2004, when Troy Smith suddenly showed up on the scene to upset us at home, then was suspended a week later for their bowl, because he had been taking money from boosters, and they definitely knew about it for weeks prior...

that was also the game when a "terrorist threat" kept our team stuck on their buses for hours before kickoff

"sportsmanship" the ohio way...

At this point, I'm convinced that, since 2001, O$U has made a pact with Satan to ensure that they will continue to be successful no matter how many players and coaches they go through. The price, naturally, is losing whatever integrity they had before then.

That?s a pretty good deal, that?s way cheaper than the price of a pact with Satan used to be.

I would take that deal six days a week and twice on Sunday; screw integrity, at least we?re not talking one?s eternal soul here.

EDIT: Did they start manufacturing those pacts in China? Is that why the price went down so much? And can I do the deal on Amazon?

Well, damn near everything else has been outsourced to China; it only stands to reason that satanic pacts would start getting made there, too.

I agree with this.

The Chase Young thing is from a "loan" that he took out over a year ago. Coincidence is, they are playing Maryland this weekend, an extremely weak opponent. He'll sit out this week and be back next week. OSU and all parties involved will say, "look! we suffered!!" The NCAA will say that the self punishment is enough and life will go on as normal.

I love it in the article when it claims that the "loan" was for basic life necessities. Bullshit! They get a stipend for that stuff.

It was in the off season...so he wasn't getting his stipend.

The family friend happens to be an agent too. I'm curious how much money he "borrowed"

He should have stuck with the $100 handshakes vs. something that can be tracked. Dummy!

They are on scholarship all year. I doubt they only get a stipend during the 3 months of football season.

Just saw a report on ESPN that Ohio State is expecting a four game suspension. Herby says OS hopes to get a reduced suspension on appeal.

But he paid it back in full!

(I hope the sarcasm is obvious)

Isn't it hilarious that OSU fans are all complaining about how the "NCAA is out to get OSU"? I mean how delusional do you have to be to honestly believe that your program hasn't gotten off easy in every one of your scandals in the past decade?

Past Decade?

This situation was self-reported. Don't they realize that? The NCAA had no idea this had happened. I'd "guess" that OSU has known about this situation for quite a while and decided now would be a good time to self report it

If they did know and it's proven they're going to have to vacate any wins that he participated in. That's going to be hilarious.

And I think it's bullshit that the kid isn't allowed to make money for himself as much as anyone else, but just because you disagree with a rule doesn't mean you don't follow it. It amazes me that they keep finding themselves in this situation and nobody within the program or university has stepped in to say that they need to clean it up. I guess they just tell themselves that they are actually winning the games and vacated or not nobody can change what happened on the field. They don't even care thet they had to cheat or sell their soul to do it.

They want to compete for national titles with Bama, LSU, Clemson, Oklahoma, Georgia, Oregon, Auburn, etc. All of those programs pay players, so they are just keeping up with the competition.
