Chooooooo choooooooo......

I hope the Lions hire the guys you want at GM and HC. I won't have to hear bitching for awhile at least.

1-6 makes them a loser. ..i really have nothing to do with it.

You're right...you don't have anything to do with it, but calling them dumb if they want to win is a losers mentality. Especially when there's no clear cut #1 pick.

Right now there isn't but by the time the draft comes around it is likely there will be somebody that separates themselves. Another advantage of having the #1 pick is having the 1st pick on day 2. Teams that might want to move up have all night to think about it.

With the old CBA I hated having a top 5 pick.

What a shitty attitude. Winning a couple of games should not deter any decision to take out the broom.

IF the organization gets rid of Mayhew by the BYE, then I will believe you. Unless they fire Mayhew, there is still a higher probability that the 2016 team will have the same coaches and same GM.

Fire Mayhew, then I'm more on board with the "winning a few won't deter the broom" theory.

I hope so too, since I do not remember a single person being on board with Mayhew being promoted, nor do I recall anyone blowing their iWad all over the place when Caldwell was named the HC.

While we're at it, is Lewand safe? I think he deserves to let the door hit him on the way out as well as Mayhew, Caldwell, et al.

That said, I haven't really given much thought yet as to who the best GM would be for the team, not to mention who would they get to replace Lewand if the heads roll that high up.

So, who should the Lions go after to replace Lewand, Mayhew, and Caldwell. Only one I have my eye on is John Harbaugh, so for me it comes down to who can the Lions get at the upper levels that will make it enticing for John Harbaugh to come coach? I honestly do not know who that would be, so if anyone can present the candidates I am very eager to hear who they are. I'm not interested in the debate of whether or not John H. is available or not, or that he won't ever come to Detroit. I'm just wondering who are potential suitors for the upper positions who have the potential to influence John H to come to Detroit, whether he does or not. This is mostly due to the probability that someone capable of enticing John H. would be capable of enticing other solid candidates.

They MUST make the Lions coaching slot appear to be a good job. The best way to do that is get rid of Lewand and Mayhew, bringing in some big names that have instant respect amongst coaches. THAT is how you send the signal that the SOL are a thing of the past and they are ready and willing to do whatever it takes to put a Super Bowl winning team on the field. Otherwise, Lions will be scraping the botton of the barrel while being laughed at...not again...still.

All we have to entice Harbaugh is Martha Ford in some Honolulu Blue lingerie.

The point is the lions fail at existing. If they want to win..they fail. If they are losing and have a chance to get a decent pick....they fail. Pretty much they fail at everything. Its the Pistons syndrome. When you pick at 7-10 every year in the NBA you will not get better....ever. If the lions put themselves in a position that they end up with a new GM/Management/Coach next year then trust me....the new guy will want a high draft pick. Especially if he doesn't want Stafford to be "his guy."

Martha will probably try to go and get Phil Jackson since he was so successful in Chicago.

Ink precluded to it the other day.. But with this organization our next GM and HC will probably end up like shit anyway.

Lewand, Bill Ford Jr and some 90 year old woman deciding.
