So I heard on the radio yesterday he left Michigan for Mississippi for the same amount of money. He didn?t even leave for more money ? What does it say that Michigan can?t keep guys from Mississippi? He will be the defensive coordinator at Mississippi instead of special teams coach and linebacker coach. Why not just elevate him and get rid of Brown ? Does this get to the Narrative of it is hard to work with Jim for a long time ? I am just curious what you guys Think ? I mean he was here for 4 or 5 years so that is something.

This is true. Just how well is the question with most of the tough games on the road.

even though he didn't get a pay raise it is a definite promotion. If an assistant coach's ultimate goal is to become a head coach it helps to have that type of job on his resume.

I think it's a career move and as Sam Webb said when it was announced, "who knows, he may be back in Ann Arbor someday"

I know Partridge's best friend who is an attorney/sports agent in LA and he always said Partridge loved UM and Harbaugh, so I never got the sense that there were any issues or trouble. Next time I talk to Tye I will get the scoop. He was the captain of the Lafayette baseball team and when Partridge was playing linebacker there at the same time.

I heard it was frustration with not being able to just pay recruits like he could do in the south. Why work hard for the same amount of money, if you could go mail it in by just "arranging" for a little "financial help" for a player's uncle, or mentor, or whatever.

Also: Fuck the NCAA.

Straight up the ass.

First people complain about recruiting

Then people complain about Michigan losing Partridge, who was a big part of recruiting

I really don't get it.

He got a promotion. He wasn't going to get the same promotion at Michigan.

I guess I don't give a shit about Partridge and don't really understand why some people pretend to know that he was this great recruiter and assistant coach while at Michigan.
