Agree. Stems from a head coach who isn?t very good. At least now days. Maybe he was a good coach in Toronto but they did win the title after he was fired.

It seems like Weaver makes decent moves in the draft and via trades, but who knows. I'm no expert.

I do think that the coach is an idiot.

Offensively, the team is bottom 5 in overall shooting percentage


But you are right...there is a long list of things this team does poorly.

Defense is terrible (coaching/desire?). Bottom of the league in blocks, most personal fouls per game, bottom 5 in defensive rebounding, bottom 2 in opponent shooting percentage; bottom 5 in overall shooting percentage

But you are right...there is a long list of things this team does poorly.

It comes down to inexperience and lack of talent IMO. In this league you either need to make 3s or score around the basket. They don?t have the bigs or the finishers to aggressively score in the paint, hence why they need to shoot so much. The only good shooters on the team are Burks and Bojan, they can?t take all the shots.

Youth/inexperience is generally going to lead to more fouls/turnovers. I?d also say there is a pretty steep learning curve for defense in the modern NBA, which I think can explain away some of the inconsistencies/struggles there.

Not giving Casey a pass, I think his lineups and rotations can be awful at times, but there?s only so much a coach can work with. You?d probably see a marginal improvement with a better HC. At the end of the day, this roster is still a major work-in-progress, no coach or system is going to magically polish this turd.
