I don’t know if any of you have been watching the show but I think it’s hilarious. I might’ve started a thread about it over on the Media board I’m not sure but this is definitely good for the Michigan board:

Mitch Albom and Ken Brown also have cameos on this episode.

Jimmy overthrowing his target. Now we know where the Speight, etc. picked that up.

He said it was in the script.

It was. Jimmy knocked down every pin on the first take every time. So the Aussie director said ?aw woit, nie fwow da bow too faw wike it says in da skwipt, ya fuh? in Wank-uh.?

dang. I figured everyone associated with this was from Detroit.

Tim Robinson-The white dude-is pretty much a career SNL writer originally from Detroit.

I would recommend anybody who grew up in the Detroit area Who has a jaded/depraved sense of humor/perspective watch the show.

It’s awesome.

I will throw in this disclaimer, the ultimate producer behind the project is is Lorne Michaels.

He is a big corporatist, associated with wealth and success and the lame Stream media.

I understand he has ties to the big liberal elite NBC and - literally-to fake news.

He’s had that for going on half a century now.

EDIT: The black guy-Sam Richardson is also from Detroit it seems. He doesn’t seem to have any ties to Saturday Night Live though.

I'm not a fan of Lorne Michaels, but I don't dismiss everything he has a hand in outright.

5-ish years before you were born, the ?Not Ready for Prime Time Players? was the most cutting edge thing to be shoved down the public at large?s throat since Jesus the Nazarean mason.

Martin Luther came close with that note he tacked on the church door regarding the sale of indulgences, and what not.

I know that in Chicago, they give all the credit to local comedic actors who mentored much of the first SNL class at Second City and smaller venues.

under Lorne's watch, SNL has gotten worse (most of the 80's) then got better for the early-mid 90's, and now permanently sucks. But it's an institution now, and we're forever stuck with it.

Those in Chicago are absolutely right - Belushi and Aykroyd both came from second city.

As far as “ under Lorne’s watch” - the whole thing’s always been under Lorne’s watch.

Over the course of a half century, or I guess almost a half century, it’s gone from good to sucky and back to good then back to sucky.

I happened to think it’s pretty good now.

You’re right it is an institution.

I am probably one of the very few posters on this board who has watched its entire arc from the beginning.

That's notable in my opinion.

Harbaugh wasting his time doing this shit when he should be concentrating on winning against his rivals. No wonder he doesn't get it.

Maybe.

I don?t know when they taped his little cameo though, and it?s not exactly like he had to memorize the role of Caesar.

Anyways, if M don?t beat Note Dame I?ll blame Harbaugh and Jason Sudeikis.

Agree. It seems he wants to be on TV more than being a coach. I know people like him but this is Michigan we should be winning more games. Maybe he likes being in the Lime-life being in SF those years.

I think he's actually toned things WAY down this year. going 8-5 in a year you're expected to challenge for a playoff spot will do that.

I don't blame him as much for the result, but even before the season, the offensive staff arrangement and "playcalls by committee" seemed unworkable. and it turned out that they were.

That's ultimately on Harbaugh, but it appears he's taken the steps to fix that, and in one season too.

As far as appearing in this show, I think it was a good call, and he was mostly poking fun at his own nature, so... yay. Go Blue
