This is a top 10 video, so after the Peterson return they talk about the top finishes and 10 has me confused. What the fk happened?

This is the video with the announcers. It does a decent job of explaining it, however CFL has some crazy rules.

Canadian football you can kick the ball out of your end zone , then the other team can kick it back and so on and so on until someone gets tackled or the ball goes out of bounds.

in that instance the punting team recovered for a TD.

Man...that is bizarre. I remember watching some CFL as a kid when ESPN was pretty much wall-to-wall sports....roller derby, WCCW, arena ball, all kinds of fun shit, but in my limited CFL watching I don't ever remember something like that. Crazy...

Questions...so if the team defending the field goal doesn't/can't run it out, is that a safety? What if the field goal team kicks beyond the end line?

if they dont run it out , it is 1 point.

Interesting...now what if the kick goes beyond the endline? Or is there a net back there?

kick out of end zone....1 point

missed field goal not ran out...1 point

kick off into end zone not ran out....1 point

All I know after watching that it was the weirdest shit I ever saw in football. Damn.

also in the Canadian game in the event of an onside kick,,,it's the last team to touch the ball not have posesssion...so you could line up your tallest guy on the outside and kind of kick up a jump ball to him , all he has to do is touch it and slap it out of bounds and its your ball.

Hahaha, you had to make that one up.

Nope same goes for all fumbles, last touched, no possession necessary. Unless it goes off a foot that is considered a punt.

Rich what? Richmond![/color]]that was fucking bizarre

Ever watch Australian Rules pro-football?

Now that is truly bizarre.

IIRC (and its been quite awhile, since I last watched a few out of curiosity in the wee hours of the am on ESPN) the team with possession of the football can kick it anytime and anywhere on the gridiron. Their refs do a little hop or jump? when the put their arms up to signal a score, mostly by a player finally getting close enough to the endzone to try and kick the football through the uprights.

It might almost be soccer, but they are tackled, and can use their arms and hands to hold onto and run with the football.

I'm a Aussie Rules fan. Can't get it on tv much but when its on I watch.
