Commercial Jet Liner fly over... wtf??

Yeah I saw it and I have to be honest I was a little worried. I mean - knowing that there's a no fly zone and being so close to this 9/11 junk, seeing a plane going that low was not only illegal but concerning. You never see commercial planes that low unless you're by the airport.

I'm not worried about it in the long run but at the time I was a little perplexed. I'm just surprised this hasn't made more news.
 
Apparently it was above the 3,000 ft minimum of restricted airspace, but why in the hell would someone authorize a direct flyover of 110,000 people.

especially if it was having mechanical issues lol.
