Coronainsanity

sorry to hear that, Tom. That sucks he got it so late in the process. Do you know where he could've picked it up?

thanks

that's the odd part. He has been retired for about 10 years and they used to travel all of the time, but haven't been anywhere since COVID. He owned a small tax business on the side that he was in the process of selling. I know he had been meeting with the firm that was buying the business...maybe in contact with them?? My wife's mom didn't get it which is odd. I'm sure she would have had it by now if she got it from him...it's been at least 10-14 days.

Knock on wood.

I hope your mother-in-law doesn't get it, but if she does, there's definitely still hope for her.

Both of my in-laws got it recently - they either got it from or gave it to my mother-in-law's in-home caregiver. We're assuming it's the former as no one else they've had contact with has tested positive for it but nobody knows for sure. I would put my father-in-law in the "pretty healthy" category while we've been preparing for my mother-in-law's death for a year+ now (she's 86). He barely had symptoms and she was rushed to the hospital bc she had pneumonia and her oxygen absorption crashed to 86%. But she responded really well to supplemental oxygen then when her COVID test came back positive, they put her on remdisivir and a steroid and she was released to a rehab facility 5 days later. Now they're thinking she could live another 5 years.

But I thought they had universe health care and a lot of other free shit.

Plus there is like zero racial strife.

What do those people have to be pissed off about?
