Coronainsanity

When I first read the response, I read ?precious? as ?precocious.?

Which I thought was really clever, in an ironic, sarcastic sort of way.

I wish I was that witty. Also, I haven't used that word nearly enough in my life. I'll work on that.

In the recording, Mary Rudyk, MD tells Director of Marketing Carolyn Fisher and another hospital employee that she wants the hospitals to become more ?scary to the public? by inflating the number of COVID-19 patients, and by using messaging that falsely tells individuals ?If you don?t get vaccinated, you know you?re going to die.?

Dr. Rudyk (of Novant Health) says: ?I guess my feeling at this point in time is, maybe we need to be completely a little bit more scary to the public.? She then introduces her idea to inflate the total number of COVID-19 patients by counting patients who recovered. ?There are many people still hospitalized that we?re considering post-COVID, but they?re not counted in those numbers,? Rudyk explains, ?So how do we include those post-COVID people in the numbers of the patients we have in the hospital??

At this point Fisher, apparently confused, asks Rudyk to clarify if she is suggesting the hospital release the total number of patients treated at the hospital ?since the beginning of COVID,? which Rudyk says is an even better idea.

?That?s better still, and that?s something that I can take to someone else, but I think those are important numbers. The patients that are still in the hospital, that are off the COVID floor, but still are occupying the hospital for a variety of reasons,? said Rudyk, before a male doctor interrupted to inform her that those patients are considered ?recovered.?

Still she persists: ?I think that that needs to be highlighted as well, because once you?re off isolation you drop from the COVID numbers, that?s exactly right.? The male doctor agreed, ?Carolyn, we can talk offline about how we run that up to marketing,? before being cut off by Rudyk.

?So I just want to say we have to be more blunt, we have to be more forceful, we have to see something coming out: ?If you don?t get vaccinated, you know you?re going to die,'? Rudyk said, laughing. ?I mean let?s just be really blunt with these people.?

I don't know, you brought it up. The burden of proof is on you. But let's just assume it's true. You just compared 54 adverse deaths to cases of myocarditis which per my source, shows that it is largely treatable and rarely a cause of death. You're comparing apples to burgers.

Oh, I jumped off that train long ago. I demand nothing of the sort. While it's a shame the unvaccinated continue to take up ventilators, hospital beds, and other precious medical resources, in the end there will be more people wishing they did get vaccinated than people wishing they didn't. You keep fighting, maybe you'll get your wish.

Give em ivermectin Wudda got to lose. Bet it would increase the survival rate 10 fold but it?s banned not fraudchi approved

"Twitter" sez: (Not apparent to me if this is satire or not)

"America?s a vaccine mandate country. Don?t like it? Leave. You?re either with us or you?re with the coronavirus."

Replies: (But these replies are not)

"Humans evolved by recognizing that giving up some individual freedoms to receive the collective benefits of living in a society is the only option for survival. We also realized that when individuals reject some of society rules they also loose (sic) the societies? (sic) benefits."

"You know who else don?t want you to vaccinate? The coronavirus. Avoiding vaccination is aiding and abetting bioterrorism."

"Exactly. The greatest generation fought WWII by patriotically doing what was asked by the government. Sad what has happened to these selfish people who wave a flag but dont (sic) know what it means."

Who else agrees with this?

I would never say or agree with a "you're either with us or against us" kinda line.

Hey, who were they paraphrasing when they said that by the way? Because if you don't like such sentiments, I'm sure you were not happy with our foreign policy and those directing it from September 12, 2001 to January 2009.

I agree with (edit: SOME OF...) the rest of it. we give up freedoms to live in a society. How is this even a question?

I'd rather we didn't need a vaccine mandate, but such things are hardly new. You older guys should know that.

I don't agree with the "vaccine shaming" approach. I think not only is it counterproductive, but it's directed (by liberals) at the wrong people.

The South apparently has the highest levels of vaccinated population. It's not rednecks (by and large) avoiding the vaccine. Though of course there are a lot of different people avoiding it for different reasons.

I agree, with one exception.

Not at all happy with it, and getting more unhappy about it with each passing moment.

Only insofar as this concept is highly selective and some would easily flip sides depending on what was being surrendered or permitted.

It's never been on this scale and scope. We've been covertly poisoned for decades by corporations and government, but we've never been threatened with reprisals for non-compliance.

It's not that selective.

To the extent your conduct affects other people, it must be limited or curtailed.

This is not some vague slippery slope; I can't decide to run a cement factory on my suburban lot. Or keep livestock. it should be obvious why... same thing for drinking and driving, drag racing on public streets, paying taxes or not, stealing, etc. we do these things or don't do them, and we risk the rest of the people for our own benefit or pleasure or advantage. We should not be able to hide within society while parasitically profiting off it.

I wish they'd teach this in schools... more of a social contract morality. At least it's grounded in reason, unlike other morals. But of course, if we're going to teach our children this, those making the laws & rules can't set themselves above them...

Refusing to get vaccinated because of some minor risk of complications is absurd; people aren't doing the math correctly here... so maybe we need a mandate.

I do not like how they framed it initially, claiming you could ignore the risk of COVID completely if you were vaccinated. Like all the other precautions: masks, social distancing, avoiding indoor spaces, etc. it's about reducing risk, not eliminating it completely.

Funny none of those side effects sound that bad

inflammation of the liver called hepatitis
a skin disorder with blistering and peeling skin called toxic epidermal necrolysis
intense abdominal pain
muscle tremors
seizures
hemorrhage from the conjunctiva of the eye
corneal opacity, a scarring disorder that results in clouding of the cornea of the eye

You're right, those all sound delightful.

Focusing on this because I will not dispute the rest, because it's obviously sound. I'm not refusing; I'm choosing not to, because I can. Or should be able to in a free society. It may seem "semantical", but the distinction is crucial. If compulsive weekly testing becomes a thing, so be it.

If everyone would take a test weekly, AND THEN (most importantly) do the responsible thing and stay home if the testing showed they were positive, instead of going to eat at restaurants, go to church, get their hair done, go shopping, etc.

I don't think you can trust enough Americans to do that.

It?s very selfish of you to believe that you should have any choice in this matter. Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris explains it best at the vice presidential debate:

Daily Caller now?

I thought people that went to that website, but not for the white supremacism were like people that got Playboy, but not for pictures - the interviews are *so* good.
