Coronainsanity

For all the fact/Data whores on this site youd think theyd start looking at all the information were starting to get on long term effects of covid. The dangers of long covid and how many cases of that were seeing vs cases of harm from vaccines. I mean my sore armpit for 24 hours seems like nothing compared to some of the long covid shit im reading.

Now imagine that impacting kids....thats a long time to live with something.

Yeah. Supposedly your chances of getting long COVID are 20% each time. So you're playing Russian roulette with it, by not taking precautions. Not sure how to do the math on this... but with a 1/5 chance, you're more likely to end up with it than not by your third infection. And almost guaranteed to have it by the fifth.

There are a number of doctors that have been claiming it does particular damage to your immune system, so each time you get it as well, you're degrading your ability to fight not only COVID, but other diseases.

Anecdotally, I know 3 people that got it more recently, for the 2nd time each, and they all told me it was much worse, and they were shocked how bad they felt this time.

Just... don't get it. It doesn't give you long term immunity, that much is clear now. And it doesn't improve your chances of surviving. It's bad.

I've slacked a bit with mask wearing, but if I know I'm going to be in a grocery store for a long period of time, or something like that, I wear it.

This sucks,.

BTW - this isn't a partisan attack on anybody, but Biden has now managed it WORSE than Trump did. Unbelievable, but he didn't do shit to build on the momentum Trump handed him on vaccines, and his CDC director and other appointees keep promoting policies that are allowing it to spread. It's just unbelievable they let the mask mandate on airplanes go without a fight.

I was pretty surprised that they lifted the mask mandate on airlines.

Just flew from California to Atlanta this week. 4.5 hour flight. Think I saw 15 masks on at the most. Good luck with monkey pox bitches!

Biden is a fossil, dementia patient moron.

Trump is a fucking moron Twitter troll.

Politics/partisan politics will kill this country. Everyone should vote independent moving forward and hold the dbags in the house/senate accountable for doing something positive for the country.

that thing I posted back in april still doesn't seem to be on anybody's radar that I've talked to. Follow up brain scans of people that got scans for other reasons before covid reveal brain shrinkage from mild covid cases and people just don't care. The 1st study I saw found shrinkage equivalent to ten years of aging, the 2nd found less shrinkage, 1-6 years worth. If the effect is cumulative, this could be a disaster for some people years before brain issues might have hit otherwise. Probably the saddest stuff I've seen anyone go through. Wouldn't mind doubling research spending on treatments.

They only recently figured out that getting it and getting vaccinated doesn't improve your resistance like they assumed it would. Getting it and having some immunity left when you get vaccinated attenuates your response to the vaccination. (And vice versa I'd assume, but I don't know.) Makes the issue more complicated, but it plays into the decision to not issue a 4th shot for everyone months before the next one is available.

What does people wearing masks or not wearing masks on planes have to do with luck or lack of luck with monkey pox?

I think it's code for 'don't have a massive orgy where you bang a bunch of people you don't know in the middle of an outbreak of a sexually trasmitted disease.' We're not allowed to say that because it would greatly offend one of the most protected classes of victims of white supremacit patriarchal tyranny today. Instead we speak in codes and tell people to wear masks.

The downside is we end up forcing parents and kids to wear masks they don't need and now we're seeing massive spikes in autistism-like symptoms as toddlers are experiencing speech delays (kids learn to speak by reading lips so it turns out seeing their parents lips while they're talking to them is kinda important) and issues with socialization skills. But at least we're not offending people from all over who congrefate in one place for a weekend for the express purpose of getting hammered and have sex with multiple strangers.

I was hoping the masking on flights would would stick after the pandemic. Was kind of nice every time I flew knowing that all the snotty nose crotch goblins were somewhat controlled from spreading whatever random germs they were carrying.

Yeah, priorities, I guess.

I agree with this 100%, and am also going to mask regularly now, even if I'm not required to.

As much as it sucks wearing a mask the entire flight, I've flown three times now since the pandemic started and haven't gotten sick once.

I've caught some awful respiratory infections from flying, several times.

I believe it?s happening in San Francisco. Surprised you didn?t know that. I thought maybe you had your flights booked and N-95 picked out - I was guessing rainbow or leopard print. On second thought, you?re more of a gimp type - probably leather (with a zipper - in case you meet a cute flight attendant).
