when we had the defensive pass interference call in the end zone toward the end of the game didnt the official go on to explain that cause it happened in the end zone ND would get the ball at the 2 yd line? Then all of a sudden ND is snapping the ball outside the 10 and the fumbled the ball. What happened there???...was the ref just mistaken in his explaination or did they spot the ball wrong?

i believe its just a standard penalty unless you are inside something like the 15 or 10 yard line. not sure which it is. but yeah the ref was mistaken

I didn't think they should have gotten it on the 2. I think the initial explanation was wrong.

There was a block in the back on one of the last plays involving Hemingway, however...

ya, the other thing i thought was odd is they didnt make a call on the last play of the game....TD or safety? Those points mean something in computer rankings!

Just saw the replay, it was actually on Gallon's last long play that there was a clip

They probably ruled it a "fumble through the endzone" which would make it a touchback. No time left, game over.

That's what it looked like to me

did the irish have control of the ball outside of the endzone? if that's the case, it should be a safety.

No, our guy had it then fumbled, so it would have either been a TD or fumble through the endzone.

yeah just watched it again. i forgot that we actually picked it up, i thought it was just kicked around.

Whether it happened in the end zone or not, PI is still a 15 yard max penalty, right? By the way, I hate college PI rules. Just a safety blanket for the DBs. "This guy's got me beat. Fuck it, I'll just tackle him and give up 15 yards instead of 50." Should be a spot foul.

As far as the end of the game, I don't care about computer rankings. I would've loved to have beat those bible-thumping pricks by 6 more points!
