Culture Thread: Libtards and Republitards are Killing the US

even if that were true, which it obviously isn't, would that be worse than spending 10s of billions of dollars to make it worse like Newsome has done? Of course it would be worse because you're a leftist and what matters most to leftists is virtue signaling and name calling (hence this post). Your motto should be "Results? We don't need no stinking results..."

Who needs results when you have emojis?

For a guy that thinks he knows it all, you sure are ignorant on literally everything.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL - I don't know how anyone could take you seriously. An MSNBC editorial hit piece is proof that Republicans are the baddies. Followed up by a Newsweek article that claims all Republicans want to do is make homelessness illegal (vagrancy and loitering is already illegal in most places). Then the independent PROVES this is a Republican led class war with another editorial hit piece. Good closing line - that was a real zinger. You are crushing it today.

LOL I called it and you still did it.

You're right, nothing is real unless you say it is.

How else would someone respond to a fool pushing leftist editorials as "proof" of their nonsense? Scorn is all it's worthy of, if it's even worthy of that - but I got time, so why not?

So tell us, since you've proved Republicans don't want to do anything about homelessness (except arrest them) how many billions are we short by for the Democrat's more of the same plan? Tens of billions in California alone and the problem has only gotten worse - that's the record you're running on, wasting ever more money on failed policies. Hey, but at least your heart is in the right place, unlike those evil Republicans!

Go ahead, show me the Republican plan. While your at it show me the plan for infrastructure and health care that Trump spent 4 years saying were on the way.

You can also stop attacking sources as I've already explained why your argument is bullshit.

Stop passing off left wing editorial pieces as "proof" and I'll stop ridiculing you for it. Then I'll just ridicule you for your stupid radical leftist editorializing.

Keep saying it over and over and eventually you'll actually think you're right. That's how the twisted up mind of the right wing conspiracy theorist works.

that has nothing to do with capitalism. Homelessness is only good for politicians, particularly those on the left. That's why they do nothing about it - same with gun control. They don't want to put themselves out of business.

What happened to trickle down economics?! Like companies would ever give up extra profit $s lmao.

n actuality SoCal homeless average $50k/ year income.

Trickle down economics is a name given by critics of economic policies they didn't like. It's not a system or theory ever espoused or claimed by anyone to represent capitalism - except by those critics misrepresenting things they don't like.

And companies do "give up" extra profits in the form of investment in growth, dividends and buybacks. Unfortunately, our perverted tax code largely disincentivizes dividends (some idiots even want to outlaw buybacks), leading to inefficient allocation of resources which explains why you see a lot of companies tend to hoard cash.

$50k/year for doing nothing seems like more than a trickle.

Hell of a defense of the 1% :lmao:

it's not a defense of anyone, it's an explanation of a widely debunked myth. Again, you're trying too hard.

Trickle down economics is exactly what it sounds like but thanks for the laugh. I should keep digging up old threads to see what other nuggets I can find.

But hey, the rich people give money to other rich people so that proves the system is great!

My goodness, it hasn't even been 24 hours since I've been a Democrat and already I'm faced with my first intersectional ideological dilemma.:hmm: Apparently, the town council of Hamtramck has voted unanimously to ban the pride flag.

The problem is, the town council is 100% Muslim, which is of course one of our protected classes of oppressed victims. What do do? What to do?:shrug: My first thought was to take the side of the alphabet people (I'm pretty sure they're at the apex of the hierarchy of virtue and victimhood) and make fun of the people who believe in sky wizards for having such a hateful culture (no brainer, right?). But they're pretty high up on the pyramid as well - as far as I can tell we only always make fun of Christians, western culture, Israel and only sometimes the Jewish people - we need an exception for times when the Christian sky wizard people make a case we can't refute and we have to call them anti-semites.
Otherwise, we don't have much use for the those people.

According to my primary source of truth and indisputable facts, it appears the thing is to ignore the sky wizard affiliation and their culture when convenient (but still blame old white guys just for kicks ) - and does it get anymore convenient than in this case? As I recall, that's what we do when a mass shooter isn't a white guy and especially if it's someone on the hierarchy of virtue and victimhood >:D. I'd like to get some definitive guidance from Johnny who has the talking points memorized already but I think I can consider this dilemma solved.

It's super hard to keep all these rules straight in your head - maybe us Democrats are smarter than I used to give them, I mean us credit for.

Hey Johnny, sorry to spring this on you last minute but I was hoping you could help out a fellow dyed-in-the-wool Dem.

With father's day right around the corner what are we telling the Trumpers when they bring up Joe's 4 year old granddaughter whose existence he doesn't acknowledge or the fact his chemically dependent son, the smartest person Joe knows, is trying to screw the little girl out of child support?

I was thinking of going with, "shut up, you guys don't acknowledge that trans people exist and because of that you're getting them killed!" or "that stripper should go to jail for not aborting his child!" What do you think? got any other ideas?

Spartan... you're probably closer to this than most. Not saying you're like this but you align to people that are. Why do people put so much energy into canceling shit. Like bud light or target? I mean I completely understand not liking a product... but why inject hate and effort into seeing that thing die? Don't like trans clothes at target? No one's asking you to wear, buy it, look at it. Why the "I'm never going to target again!"

There was a whole big deal at Dodger Stadium last night. The Dodgers were recognizing some transvestite group whom Catholics claim mock Catholicism. Clayton Kershaw said he didn?t support mocking any religion.

But you know all this; you live just down the road.

I have come to like you, MHughes. I?d like to get together for a beer if ya wanna.

Both MichChamp and SpartanMack will tell ya - I don?t bite.

When I first met MichChamp at Hollywood and Highland, where the Dolby Theatre is (as in the place Will Smith slaps Chris Rock) MichChamp posted on this board he felt he was ?entering the realm of a Bond villain.?

I liked that. It was kinda cool.

If I'm ever in SoCal, I'll buy the first round.

As I've said before, I've missed out on the boycotts because I already don't use any of the products (don't watch NFL, NBA or MLB, don't drink light beer, etc) but I don't think it's conservatives that are the one's responsible here. Cancel culture came out of the left, and now it's backfiring on them as the opposition is taking a page from their book.

It's not just retaliation though. People have had enough preaching and political posturing from companies. They just want to watch football at football games, hear music at concerts, drink beer that doesn't come with a political message, etc. The idea of woke capitalism or "altruistic" capitalism is dumb and it's doomed to fail. Why would a company want to alienate 50% of their customer base? Why are companies weighing in on political and social issues? Make good, safe products or provide services people want to buy and shut up.

And I am certain that POTUS will read the entire 237-page decision before he responds.
