No confirmation yet, but one report said 6 years, $160Mm, which I find hard to believe.

Nick Piecoro, who would know if anyone knows, says it's $206Mm with some of that deferred. He's said that the Giants offered the exact same amount, and added the 6th year at the end, but Greinke chose Arizona because of the state 4.54% in Arizona rather than the 13.3% in California, adding just under 10% total value to the deal.

Captain Obvious....but if it's 206 then it's 34.33 million per year...not too shabby Mr. Greinke. Crazy. I remember when Kirby Puckett became the first 3 million dollar salary back around 1989 or 1990. 25 years later and guys are getting 10 times that amount.

He likes the tooth picks that are slightly mis-sharpen.

After he counts them, he puts them in a different pile.

All good, D-Bag teammates should just know that if they go to hug him while he's doing the count, or try to touch his long hair, he'll take the toothpick currently being counted and stab said teammate right in the eye with it.

They just added Shelby Miller to the mix for a hefty package of prospects and players.

I don't think Blair is anything to write home about, and I am convinced Swanson is about as overrated as a #1 pick has been since Matt Bush.

Inciarte will hurt more. Hell of a leadoff man. But you give that up to put together a pretty damned good starting rotation.

They got better on paper, that's for sure. Maybe looking at 2015 Washington Nationals but I doubt it, their defense is off the charts.

Washington will be interesting to watch with Baker in command but I feel sorry for their rotation come September, he has a history of wearing rotations out.

Cubs got to be the favorites in the NL.
