Can some explain to me why we did not try harder to sigh him. I am just curious. We offered him a 2 year deal but he signed with the devils.. I know his scoring tapered off the last half of last season but I am just curious ..

Like the Wise,DA and other signings.. Nice to see a local kid from GR on the team..Luke Glendenning!!!

From what I remember reading he wanted a long term deal. Since he had such a scoring slump, nobody wanted that risk.

He's making Jakub Kindl type money for two years in NJ. It's only a two year deal at $2.5 million per year.

Before he inked that deal, he sat with no deal most of the summer. Nearly went back to Switzerland since it looked like he wasn't going to get a deal.

Unless there's something going on that we don't know about (off the ice?), I think he's pretty good value to the Devils for the deal he got in NJ, and I have no idea why no other team including the Red Wings, showed any interest.

Seems like Darren Helm might never get back to his old self. I hope I'm wrong, but if it turns out that way, it would be nice to have Brunner.
