Dempster signs BoSox' 2 year 26.5 MM offer
Apparently Dempster and his agent could not find a worthy team that would offer him >2 years, so he "settled" and signed for a million and a half more than the previous Bosox offer.

I don't see Boston being more than maybe at best ~.500 team next season, if everything goes right, and IF the O's and/or Blue Jays, and/or Rays don't clobber them in almost every series. The creaky, brittle, and walking wounded Yankees might become the one and only team in their division that they can play to a season-series draw. Of course, the O's still have to prove that they are not just a one season, one run game wonders, or in the Jays' case just looking better on paper.
