On his throwing arm. Was this said before? Because this is the first time hearing about it. If this is what caused denard to throw so shitty, and the last 2 games is what denard is when he's healthy. Then I'm excited about the va tech game and next season.

it's staph infection.

I don't think it would affect his throwing ability much though. Then again, I've never had a staph infection.

I was reading about it on espn and it said that it can be pretty painful.

if i remember correctly, minnesota was one of his most efficient games passing the ball. But I guess it could have affected him more after that.

it is easy to get staph - it can get in cuts

i have bad rash on my arms and sometimes get infections from the scratching

I'm not saying its cause or not. Just thought it was a possibility. And almost a hope lol. If he can play like he did vs nebraska. We're a dangerous team.

There was some TV commentator who made a vague comment about a medical issue during the Iowa game, if I recall. One of those games around then, anyways..

angelique chengelis tweeted that denard said he spent on night in the hospital for this staph infection

Remember him and hoke saying he had a "boo boo". This is what they were talking about.

But like I said, it could of had an effect. Or couldn't. Just hopeing it did and denard keeps playing like he has.

I thought it must have been something, because there were times when he would have to go out after what seemed like the slightest bump. And I noticed he would hold and rub his hand like it had gone numb or something.

I'm pretty sure during the minnesota game a lot of Denard's passes were just simple screens that went for a lot of yards. He was terrible at throwing with any kind of accuracy in the middle of the season - and this explains a lot. I just couldn't wrap my head around why, all of a sudden, he was THAT bad at throwing the football. Last year he was more like what we saw in the last two games of the season. Still not great at the deep ball - but he wasn't just throwing it to the other team like he was in the middle of the year.

Falk needs to keep the damn locker room cleaner, I guess.

it seems weird to me that a staph infection would actually affect throwing mechanics, but I guess since it causes swelling and pain, that would explain it.

was just reading the wiki article on staph infections... gross.

And it also might be the reason he kept doing that wierd motion with his arm after touchdowns that looked like he was pretending to eat soup.

He was saying "I need to feed my staphylococcus infection!"

The picture that was with the article I read showed his left arm with a wrap on it. Has someone heard specifically that it was his throwing arm?

In what I read on espn, I'm pretty sure they said it was his throwing arm.

And it was the boo boo that him and hoke talked about this year.

Oh yeah, went back and looked, he had a wrap on both forearms, but the one on the right looked more substantial.
