And if you actually look at Stafford's deal (the new money portion) it's cheaper than everyone. Stafford's cap number would have been 9 million and 7 million in 2013 and 2014 based on new deal money. The 8 millino each year in restructure money make the cap hit look big. And then 2015 is 17 million (only 2 million restructure money) but that was backloaded on purpose to wait for the restructure money to go away. Then 2016 and 2017 we aren't tied to Stafford but have the optino to keep him.

Less than Cutler, Romo, Rodgers, Flacco, Ryan. Stafford gets paid less than all of them. It looks equal because of two restructures of the old CBA. The old CBA contrat the Lions were FORCED to pay. They restructured it twice and look at that, the cap went up. Smart restructures to keep talent in 2011 and 2012.

The running game was not good in 7 of 9 losses. That is a fact.

at Zona (Hilliard at RT and Bush missed second half), Cincy line reshuffle all day with (Reiff, Hilliard, Waddle), at GB (no Calvin, Nate or Waddle, started Fox), at PHi (no Bush or Waddle), Giants (no Pettigrew, Calvin limited, Waddle half game only), at Min (no Calvin, Pettigrew or Waddle)

Stafford is very important. He is the only one that keeps us in most games and wins games for us. But he needs help to do it.

You can't have it both ways. If he is the only one that wins games for the Lions then the roster must suck.

Qb's and coaches receive too much blame and too much credit for what the TEAM does. Teams win and teams lose....it takes a full balanced team to win which we don't have

Not my buddy...don't know him. But he definitely has the most knowledge about the lions and backs it up with facts. And he understands the game as a fan of the game not a fan of the Lions. We definitely aren't close to the Seahawks talent. They'll be around a while if they can hold the team together.

That is essentially the definition of average.

this is perfectly said. DId anyone ever hear of Boykin on GB before they had 3 WRs go down to injury? Now I watch a lot of college football and I never heard of the guy.....but he comes in and produces right away. Stafford doesn't raise up anyones game....ever.

Im still waiting for him to be right one of these years lol. funny how people see things so differently when youre a homer. Not a single one of his predictions was accurate last year. It was a running joke in all of the game threads. Sooo he may "know a lot" just cause you happen to agree with him....but it doesn't make what he "knows" correct lol.
